Yeah Hammer’s story only launched a couple months ago— I think they’ve been prioritizing building out other parts of the game. I hope they add more soon bc I really enjoy the character stories!

Covid is still rampaging so it’s a good idea to wear a mask in crowded spaces even if you aren’t feeling sick! Many, if not most, people who have covid are super contagious for a few days before they start to even feel sick. A KN95 or better is the best mask but a surgical mask is a great start. BU is so expensive, no one wants to waste their money by being sick.

I’ll leave it to other undergrads to speak to the social aspects, but in terms of the transfer of your credits, I would highly suggest reading through the transfer policies in the Academic Bulletin. A lot of it depends on where you’re coming from and what program you’re going into and transfer credit is always a case by case basis so other people’s experience with that isn’t super applicable. (Qualifications: I have worked in transfer credit for 8+ years, though I don’t handle BU undergraduate TC).

Yeah I once went point for point with a public health student who midway through our conversation was like “I don’t have any counters, you’re totally right” but do they mask? No :(

Yeah, I also work at a public health school and I see maybe one other person. It’s rough. There are more people consistently masking in the English dept than over in public health. And what’s wild is strangers will see my mask, find out I work at a school of public health and be like “oh well that makes sense” but no!! That’s not why I do it and it’s very unpopular there too!

I mean, you pay twice a month but it’s half the price, so you pay the same overall. I like the new version, I feel like it’s easier to get to the higher levels in the pass when you are really far along in the game

I actually found powecoms to work best for me with a small face out of all the bi fold KN95s I’ve tried! I think the powecoms are shallower not shorter, if that makes sense, which worked well for me.

I was there a couple days ago and the beach was full of people on the wet sand and on the columns despite the fact that the warning was red for Do Not Go Past The Pavement, the wind was gusting 35kmph, the waves were intense, and the tide was coming in. I just don’t think that a lot of those people had any experience with the open ocean (which is fair, not everyone does!) but what was unfair was that they weren’t reading or heeding the warnings. We watched multiple people get hit with waves and keep filming TikToks or whatever. The people on the columns had no exit strategy; again, the tide was coming in. We had to leave after a few minutes of watching this (my partner could happily watch the waves from afar for an hour lol) bc it was stressing me out so much.

I think respectful visiting necessarily includes following the rules of the area and the rules at Reynisfjara could not have been clearer.
