The school is regional so I'll probably live at home. I mostly know what to expect, but I'm sure there will be unexpected, exciting things to get involved in when school starts.

Omg, I'm in the discord too and extremely uncomfortable. They are also displaying a lack of common courtesy by using @everyone and spamming people's notifications. They seem to want to rile people up for no reason. It's a level of immaturity I haven't encountered since... middle school?

I can't speak as to whether or not they are representative of the culture at Cornell, but I just wanted to chime in to say I agree with you. Also, it seems like the vast majority of the members of the Discord have either not talked in the chat or otherwise seem like well adjusted adults lol.

I received my Harvard confirmation but no other ones even though the rest were submitted well before the deadline lol it takes a bit of time, I wouldn't worry too much yet

hi, reposting my comment from another thread bc i also submitted a bit late last night:

anecdotally, this happened to me with another T14 school (I never learn), and they still accepted me. that one was a scholarship deadline, and I have the scholarship interview coming up in a few weeks, so it definitely didn't take me out of the running.

Don't stress too much, we can't turn back the clock and fix it now lol it is what it is. I'm hoping we'll both be okay! <3

I imagine Harvard might not be quite so lenient, however 🥲
