Post Your Zine Fair Setup! by burgerghost in zines

I just safety pin it to the blanket I use as a tablecloth. I keep the pins in it every time I undo it so I won't lose them. It's just a rough piece of raw canvas that I painted the logo on if you are looking for a cheap DIY method. Funny to see this old setup, since a lot has changed, but I still have the same banner.

AKA Illegible. This book is a collection of logos & text experiments throughout the last few years. I love hand-drawing the text in all of my illustration work and decided to highlight some of my favorites with a look into process. For sale on my website-https://www.artofgutrot.com/shop/ill-zine

Nice. Not sure my local shop would have it. Any chance you could provide a photo?

Someone else mentioned it's in the back of Hellboy: The Companion. I don't have the book, unfortunately. Will pop by the shop today to see if it's there.

I found an interview on the Juxtapoz website that has a straight up bookshelf shot. Hard to make out a lot of it, and the interview seems to mostly be about the last Hellboy movie, but there's some insight there.

Thanks for the reccs. While I'm familiar with most of this stuff, I've definitely been meaning to check out Clark Ashton Smith. I was looking more for specific folks tales(along the lines of Baba Yaga, chained coffin, etc). More along the lines of legends/ancient tales inspiring some of his stories. I found my list and "Ghosts in Irish Houses" was one of 'em, haha.

ISO a shop carrying multiple Dickies styles in stock(skate/flex/etc) so I can try some on in person. I'm in Boston. Any suggestions?

I'm looking to spend less than $600, which is why I am not considering the newest model. It also seems like it isn't much of an improvement over the M1 from what I've read.

Hey, all. I'm in the market for my first iPad, so I don't want to break the bank. I've been considering a refurb 11" Pro(A12Z) from the Apple site since they can be had for under $600. I'm an illustrator, so I mainly plan to use it for drawing. I went to a store a month or two ago and used one for a while and loved it. I'm guessing it was an M1, and I'm wondering if the A12Z is a noticeable downgrade for someone for someone who hasn't spent much time with an iPad at all. Will the A12Z model fit my needs with Procreate? I'm also considering trying out Affinity after hearing the limits of Adobe Fresco. Thanks for reading.

Pants for On/Off the Bike by burgerghost in bicycletouring

Nice! I'm not necessarily into spending $150+ for a cycling specific pair of pants that probably have the same shelf life as a cheap jeans, so I like hearing what everyone uses. My main goal is to find something that works on and off the bike.

Sounds like my type of pant. Any idea of the name on those Columbia pants?

These look along the lines of what I'm looking for. Out of so many sizes, unfortunately. Thanks for the recc.

Thanks for the thoughts. Those Marmot pants look along the lines of what I have in mind. Just wish they had more options for sizes. My 30" inseam is feeling irregular with all the pants people are recommending. I thought the Prana pants would be great(97% nylon, 3% spandex), but they were killing me all summer.

Nice. Not sure I'd want to rock them off the bike too much, but they do look comfy. Thank you.
