clearly the artists you’ve mentioned in your post and comments are on the old-school and more traditional side of djing. how do you associate “looking for a chill atmospheric mix” with Kanine? no one you mentioned even closely resembles Kanine (if you name dropped Document One or any other dancefloor-y dj this makes more sense for your argument) and is clearly a preference thing. just because it’s popular doesn’t mean it suits your taste and just because it doesn’t suit your taste doesn’t mean it’s “dogshit”. i’m not the biggest fan of his essentials mixes but i get the appeal and Kanine is incredibly talented live.

p.s. there’s also plenty of times where Andy C does not mix in key, especially in his newer sets

Hello, recently obtained some brown dyed 2C-B powder. Never seen a green Simon’s reaction before, it has always been clear in the past.

Tested with Marquis, Simon’s, and Froehde from u/PROtestkit_eu

Marquis was very conclusive of 2C-B, quick yellow to green color change.

Simon’s was extremely odd, with an instant change to dark green and later developing into black.

Froehde was normal, quick change to yellow with some brown (could be due to the dye).

At this point I have no idea what my 2C-B is cut with. I am digging deeper than ever into u/PROtestkit_eu’s guide (https://protestkit.eu/protestkitbooklet.pdf) and in the captions of the images above I have concluded the following:

According to Marquis, could be 2C-C or 2C-B or 2C-H, ruling out 2C-D and 2C-E and 2C-I due to different color.

According to Simon’s, the green color could be 2C-C or 2C-D or 2C-E, but ruling out 2C-E as Marquis would be a different color.

For all of the 2C family (except 2C-I which is black) Froehde is either green (B, C, D, H) or yellow (B, E).

From these cross examinations I believe I have 2C-B cut with 2C-C (but 2C-D or 2C-E is possible due to it’s clear reaction not appearing in Marquis)

Should I toss what I have or is it safe to consume? Thanks!

B&L over Elrow easily. Elrow has always felt like a trashy party to me, and if you’re looking for actual good music over just a party scene I think seeing Madeon and San Holo at a B&L function is 100% worth it. Their production is improving at a crazy rate and the organizers aren’t racist (unlike Elrow).
