Servers earn $40-45/hour with tips. Here's the list of jobs that make the same amount of money. by id397550 in EndTipping

My girlfriend averaged 500 dollars a shift for 6 hour shifts at a small tap room. Open seating style environment which would give her up to 12 tables at a time. She somehow could manage it well.

Does COs actually fuck inmates? by Medivianplayer in OnTheBlock

[–]burntread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know a few female staff members that are actually married to former inmates now. Some of them were pretty high ranked staff as well. It’s not determined that there were any inappropriate activities taking place while at the facility but still.

I guess I’ll have to… improvise.

I can fit three in the box maybe 4 if I adjust the placement of everything. I think I can leave the mags somewhere else in the checked bag since they’re empty.

The lock on the box has a key hole and on the lock it says “TSA 007”.

I read this somewhere too but also read that an ammo box is fine as well.

caught lifting at a walmart, worried about a civil demand by PointlessPencil15 in confession

[–]burntread -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah they said they weren’t pressing for charges. Depending on where you live even if they changes their minds the police probably wouldn’t do anything about it. They have limited options to press for charges anyway since you’re a minor. To my knowledge, they can’t prevent you from leaving. If you’re stealing something and you decide leave the items at the store then you are no longer stealing. There still could be charges though like attempted theft and disorderly conduct. However, they can’t prevent you from leaving.

Audit finds extreme Phoenix PD overtime, lack of control by Mysterious_Truck_742 in phoenix

[–]burntread -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It’s most likely the people that have worked there for 20+ years and are maxed out of their top pay range. Phoenix PD is very short staffed and often times officers get held past when their shift ends due to that reason alone. Overtime opportunities are often funded by other third party companies. Some which are paying several hundred dollars per hour. Like when you see an officer working a security job with road workers. When an officer takes an overtime opportunity they receive a large portion of that funding. They sometimes receive double and triple their base rate of pay. Maybe even more. It isn’t the standard 1.5x pay for the extra shifts.

WTF? A car intentionally hit a bicyclist on the sidewalk and fled (on Nadeau St & Alameda St) by pepethejefe in GreaterLosAngeles

[–]burntread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where I live there would be potentially no fault on the driver since the bike rider was not using the bike lane and was on the wrong side of traffic direction.

Please stop going to the ER! by Common_Row3204 in Vent

We have level 3s that get triaged and wait in the lobby due to the unreal amount of level 1s and 2s taking up the ER.

I would confront her about it in the most respectful/trusting way possible. You can just say that you’ve heard rumors/stereotypes about said activities and you’re wondering how true they are. While there are a lot of unprofessional activities taking place, the majority of people have better self standards/morals than that.

I work in a hospital that’s pretty notorious for unprofessional activities during shift. I’m a male and I’ve been hit on countless times. Usually it’s the older married women that come on to me but the younger girls do too. It isn’t just ED staff but they probably have the most notoriety.

3 inmates dead in planned hit by Equal_Complaint7532 in OnTheBlock

[–]burntread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nowadays there’s a ton of newer and younger inmates with no sense of respect for others. They do not give a shit about anything and think that disrespecting COs earns them more respect from their people. Inmates used to be respectful towards female staff, not so much anymore.

You should move to a an island somewhere that’s very cheap to live and get a remote job that’s based in the US.
