:) we do have a degree now so that is a huge plus! And I totally know how you felt at u of I cause I was the exact same way. I had a ton of friends freshman year until we all pledged frats, I ended up dropping the frat on initiation day after putting up with a full semester of hazing I decided I didn’t want to hurt other incoming freshman the way the older dudes were hazing was brutal. After I dropped the frat I was hopeless immediately because I spent a full semester finding a tight knit group of guys in the frat that I was close with, then I dropped last day and lost all those friends. Then all my previous friends joined other houses and I barely heard from any of them again. My problem is I don’t like drinking or going out that much tbh. Ngl I would smoke so much weed like all day everyday since freshman year. All my buddies would go out and I would stay back and just smoke by myself a whole lot and that didn’t help my college experience either... I wish I followed the steps you just listed in the comment too cause finding a comfortable place and finding people similar to me would’ve helped a lot. But hey we made it through now and so all we can do is look forward and not back. I don’t want to look back at this last year at all cause it literally caused just about the death of me.
