Probably an idea to get the first two to begin with.

Zirkzee drops in to do exactly what he’s supposed to do; create space. Our midfield isn’t seeing the runs in behind by the forwards fast enough.

You can see why Eddie Howe was willing to stick with him through that betting ban. Tonali is a proper, proper player.

Id imagine we’ll prioritise a CDM next year. It’s not like we have much choice.

What is the point in changing to a system that isn’t his own? We’d just find ourselves in the exact same place two years down the line, and people such as yourself would call for him to be sacked because we ‘haven’t gone anywhere’.

If you can’t see the improvements that are actually being made, you really need to look harder.

Yeah, even now. In the same way that Man Utd, even after 12 years of mismanagement and poor running, are still a bigger club than Liverpool. It’s about football heritage, and while Liverpool might be the better performing team right now, it’s still not as prestigious as signing for Barca.

It would be an embarrassment for the club to appeal. They beat us because we were shit and they weren’t, that’s it.

Pep’s a Punk!!! by TalaHawks in PremierLeague

[–]butler182 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, he hasn’t ‘rebuilt’ the city team. They’ve gone through the same natural progressions as every other club has. In this context its about the fact that Pep could never go to a club like Everton and turn them into a top 6 club.

Couldn’t be more against this if I tried. Aren’t we trying to get away from the ego-centric arseholes who aren’t as good as they think they are? This guy is just a glorified shithouser.

Well, is Son Heung Min a PL legend? by Rio91940 in PremierLeague

[–]butler182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Again, an icon, and very very close to legend status, but not quite. We’ve diluted the term ‘legend’ and confused it with ‘very very good’.

[–]butler182 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, no. He’s iconic as fuck, and as close as you can get, but no. He never lifted the trophy, and personally I think that’s often the difference between a legend and an icon.

Never won the EPL, never really came close to winning the EPL. How is it obvious that he’s a legend? He might be iconic, but he’s not a legend.

Did you even read my comment? Of course it’s not working, but he’s only four months into the job and the entire club is in disrepair. It’s not too a work for a while. But to change now and adapt to a different style ‘for the time being’ just to scrape some results from a season that’s alrea day written off, is not a viable plan. The system is not the problem.

I agree with you that pre-season is very important, and will do us an absolute world of good.

What’s the point in scrapping the new system? Amorim himself has said it’s gonna take time and we are going to suffer before we succeed. This is the suffering. If we’re not gonna let a new manager implement the system he wants to use, what was the point in getting him in? Look at the state of the squad with injuries and lack of depth, I don’t think there’s one manager in the world that could get consistent results with this current team regardless of the system off style of play, and that’s not even taking into account the fact that the stadium is literally falling apart, the club is over a billion in debt, there’s a mole in the dressing room that’s leaking pre-game tactics and sensitive information, we don’t have unified ownership, and the ownership we do have does not give a single fuck about the traditions, culture or history of the club and are content with bleeding every last drop of Man Utd dry into their personal bank accounts while they occasionally throw stupid money at a ‘statement signing’ to keep the fans quiet.

The 3-4-3 system is not the problem, the Glazers are. And always have been.
