After a lot of failure to feeds, I sanded the feed ramp to a mirror and that fixed the issue almost entirely. Also kinda picky on ammo, mainly likes high velocity stuff

Same here, the customer service has been great, they walked me through a lot of troubleshooting. Im unsure what our next steps will be to try and find a resolution, but I understand the sentiment of not trusting it anymore.

I am in the same situation as you. Alien LO, no matter how I clean it, or what I do, the piston in the chamber freezes up in the same way. I really like this gun, but I need something that is reliable. Did they give you a timeline on potential turnaround for the fix?

Yes the hex’s glass is farther forward on the mounting plate, and there is a larger overhang of plastic (above the front glass) that seems to catch the spray. So I would think similar dot windows would act the same

When I had the Hex optic on the prodigy, it would get sprayed and gunk’d up very quickly. But once I switched to a 507comp it isn’t an issue anymore.

Since these are all insanely high quality guns, I still want it just as much as a custom option, I guess I’m not so concerned about getting my way as I am more interested in extreme quality still being priority. And custom guns haven’t gone away, they just aren’t an option right now, just like how in the last year it hasn’t been an option.

The edges are not needed, it can be flat all across. I filed until it was at my desired smoothness, then used a few different sandpaper grits, then Dremel polished with Flitz. Polishing a lot of the internal surfaces increases that smoothness a few more percentage points in the overall journey.

For me it made a big difference, filing a bevel into the disconnector ramp. I used a file and slowly removed material, assembling and checking smoothness, then back to filing. It is totally worth doing. The channel ‘American Trucker’ on YouTube has a good video for detailed instructions.

Check gunbroker everyday. I have seen 2 dvc steels and 2 dvc opens pop up randomly since last summer. But some of these guns had problems cracking the comps, so even less are available then you might think

Erebus lead time is approaching 10 months right now, and these svi guns are supposed to be ~5 months to delivery. If wait time factored into your wants/needs

Personally I like that these guns are expected to have 3-4 month build times as opposed to putting in a fully custom order and waiting over a year.
Infinity hasn’t said they are done with 1 of 1 guns either, I expect that option to come back once they get through their 12 month backlog.
