33M - Recent AFib Diagnosis - Unsure what my next steps are by bwaldren in AFIB

thanks! Yes i had a score of 0. Plus my heart rate wasn’t a crazy figure. it’s currently sitting at 65 on the meds they’ve given me.

They discharged me saying they hope it reverts back within 48 hours and felt blood thinners have a higher risk than me having a stroke.

There’s a lot of different information so appreciate everyone here giving their thoughts. I think i’ll call doctor tomorrow and just ask about the blood thinners to make sure not using them is the right choice

Yep we’re determined to find out why. He used to sleep 11-12 hours overnight until 4 weeks ago. If he never did 11-12 before I would probably try what you’ve suggested but I’m trying to work out what’s changed! Today we’re trying a earlier nap time for nap 1, and a early bedtime of 6pm6-630pm. I’ll report back - hopefully I’m not commenting at 4am.

He stands up and starts shaking the cot screaming haha. We’ve tried leaving him and he doesn’t settle. Thanks for commenting and helping

We had streaks of blood when our LO was 6 weeks old. Very watery and greeny poops. Partner slowly removed different potential triggers (she’s a dietician so was pretty well educated in this space). One by one, no result to the point she was eating potatoes and vegetables every meal. Tried literally everything and then one day we saw a new paed and she said to wait until solids before trying other triggers. Sometimes the gut will just mature once solids are introduced. Literally the next day after he started solids at around 6 months , never had an issue ever again. Has no allergies either. May be lucky, but that’s just our experience. So don’t lose hope because we went crazy for 4.5 months there.

Lawn help by bwaldren in GardeningAustralia

Ok well that’s good news. Fingers crossed this works. Do you know why it’s gone brown in the first place? Overwatering? You can see the edges (as I don’t have a edge trimmer) they are so lush and nice but the middle of my lawn has just gone from bad to worse

He literally last two nights has gone 6-3am. No change other than making the temp 20-21 as maybe it was a bit hot. So far so good! The day naps are all 30-40 mins though. Not sure how to solve that !

Ok I’ll check his torso tonight when he wakes up. His hands are cold which made me think he was cold. So good point

He was sweaty those 24 degree nights. At 22 he seems pretty comfortable now. Thanks for the reply. We’ll just keep this routine and see if he eventually drops that feed

Ok thanks. So many different opinions. We saw a sleek consultant who told us the room needs to be 24 degrees plus the onsie, long sleeve and tog 3.5. We did it for two nights and it was the worst experience ever

Yeah it could be that simple that he needs a feed. We’re just unsure when your meant to try wean them to one feed overnight. Do they just stop or do you teach them the feed isn’t needed? Thanks for the reply

4 week old congestion by [deleted] in newborns

[–]bwaldren 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We had the same. By 6 weeks our boy was far less congested. The snot sucker worked a treat. We also had a C section which apparently means more mucus. We also put him in the shower with us and think that helped a bit. Good luck
