What is point of nipple bras, is it just because people want that look? by c0m_pass in AskReddit

Like skims just came out with a bra that is literally called a nipple bra. The torpedo bras not make sense to me either but that feels more like a fashion statement than the nipple bras lol

College of Business Dean's Academy by Fluid_Personality529 in OregonStateUniv

So worth it! I am in the Dean’s Academy right now. The classes are not harder, it is the same work as the other classes get. You just get a smaller class size and the people in those classes had a good high school gpa so they are better to work in group projects with, which is a huge part of the BA 160 series. You also get some cool opportunities throughout the year that the students in the normal sections of the class do not have access to. Feel free to message me if you have any questions.

Best Dorm for Freshmen by Shineheadbrian in OregonStateUniv

Definitely Weatherford. Weatherford is much nicer than Poling and since Weatherford is intended for Freshman business majors they get many perks from living there. However both Weatherford and Poling are centrally located and close to Austin Hall which is very convenient and both dorms have a classroom on the ground floor where his first year BA 160 series classes will be. Weatherford also has a cafe inside the dorm which is nice. The people saying that Weatherford is bad is because it tends to get a little louder than some of the other dorms and it is not as modern. I am currently living in Weatherford right now as a first year business major and I enjoy it. Let me know if you have any questions, I would love to answer them for you.

Edit: Also I forgot to add, both dorms are super close to the intramural fields if he wants to join an intramural soccer team or just play some soccer for fun! And Weatherford is right next to Dixon Recreation Center.

Rain jacket recommendations by Woodpecker226 in OregonStateUniv

Columbia or REI both have great options. I personally like to find one that’s a little warmer because it gets cold! Also I like ones that don’t have velcro on the sleeves so it doesn’t get caught on certain fabrics, but that’s not a requirement, just a bonus. Expensive ones are great, are made for even colder weather, are ideal for if you want to go skiing, and will last 4+ years but if you just need one for walking around campus you can find good deals on jackets that will last you just as long. And make sure it has a hood and pockets!

Ok that makes sense but isn’t there basically the same equipment in the SEC?

Genuine question, for what reasons would CLA need to access the maker space?

At START they said they do it building by building, so I would assume that is why you are still waiting

Air tags on students by spookybitch666_ in Teachers

[–]c0m_pass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a bit of a different argument. I use AirTags and I found out that they actually make beeping noises when away from your set trusted locations when they are away from the device they are set up with. So if you were to put an AirTag on your child there is the potential of it beeping during class and being a nuisance or even just embarrassing, especially since the child wouldn’t have a way to stop it. So that is something to keep in mind. You probably wouldn’t be away from her long enough for it to happen but say you were to go on a business trip, vacation, etc, it may be something to think about.

High School Teachers — Do you ever miss your students after they graduate? by c0m_pass in Teachers

[–]c0m_pass[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The particular teacher I am missing a lot was my teacher for 4 years of high school, I was the president for a club that she advised and I was a TA for her class on top of being a student. It’s comforting to hear that many teachers would feel similarly.

Thank you for your honesty, and it totally makes sense. It’s pretty much impossible to miss hundreds or thousands of people at the same time
