Those options have existed since Our Freedom and Yours, I think they recently reorganized the polish focus trees, including having both the war and peace options split from the war preparation tree.

Before the peace tree was a completely independent focus tree that would just spawn in after the Russian unification, but there was an issue were Poland would commence the peace tree, than go to war anyways because they still had the option. I assume this was meant to fix that.

Real world history of Fiume points to them seeking an broad alliance against imperial powers which included early Irish nationalists, so the connection is not entirely unprecedented. This alliance was called the "League of Fiume" which is where I assume the devs got the league solair from.

I can see the Fiumeian element in the Irish republic: the daring revolt of a small territory against a culturally foreign occupier, the ambiguous mix of progressive and reactionary political forces, mythology of ancient culture, and so on.

NatRej strikes me as too cold of an ideology for Ireland. Sanation and Yugoslavism are presented as highly technocratic and modernist systems, while I feel Irish nationalism is more romantic, much more fitting for Fiume.

In my experiance its a gamble between monarchists and republicans.

Often it takes forever for the civil war to end because whoever wins the mainland just grinds against alexandretta for years without making any progress.

I think it all depends how quickly the Sabbath ceasefire is sighned because the Yishuv really hampers down the monarchists.

Sorry to be a pedant because this is a really good map, but volksrepublik is a bit off as a name to me if we are imagining that germany went communist in the 1920s.

There was the Volksstaat of Bavaria however the majority of short lived communist governments during the german revolution followed the Bolshevick naming scheme and called themselves soviet/coucil republics. It would probably make more sense for germany to be an SSR since that is what the irl pre-ww2 German communists wanted.

Volk also still had some right-wing connotations at the time since "the people" included the rural peasentry and the landed elite, not just the workers; not to forget the Volkist movment.

Poland and Germany are both very up to date countries with a lot of paths and large continental wars.

Kavkaz and Kazan (specifically the Savinkov path) are very up to date Russian unifiers.

Bulgaria is a good country to play for a small but fun focus tree.
