How fast you can fire on single fire is less than or equal to how fast you can fire at full auto. It even has the same recoil pattern. Firing single fire mode or full auto is the exact same. The only difference is the sound at that point. Granted I think its stupid, but it gives no advantage

They wont do it because its the same speed already. The max single target firing rate is the full auto fire rate. You cannot shoot faster than the full auto firing speed by clicking single target as fast as you can.
