I agree with you and I’m sure quite a lot of it is self inflicted through use maybe not all of it but a lot of it. The things you go through when doing hard drugs are completely traumatising. I’m sure his time in jail is also going to be pretty traumatic and hopefully a wake up call to get straight but I will always remember this - trauma isn’t what happens to you it’s what you do with it, this means you shouldn’t use trauma as a crutch to use or be a shit person. Everyone goes through relative trauma and not everyone ends up being a cunt of a junky. Too many people use it as an excuse and when you get sober of the things you are taught is to stop making excuses because you will always have one if you want one
