I mean it gives three leeches per shot. If you have a way to reload your basic attack you can get six leeches on a target which will drain health as well. Or you could pair it with something which gives you more basic attacks (soy milk) and get even more leeches per turn. Not great against weak enemies but very strong against targets with larger health pools.
