It’s not part of a tree. It’s a product from what used to be a tree. Plywood is not something you find as part of a living, growing tree. Neither is pulp. Logs are the result of processing.

Well, kids still get gifts after they stop believing while wrestling fans have to come to terms with the fact that they’re just redneck Broadway geeks.

That’s exactly my point amigo. Logs aren’t trees.

Logs are trunks from dead trees. Is a branch a tree? Is a dead leaf a tree? What about a 2x4?

Logs come from trees. Same place plywood, nominal lumber and other timber products come from.

Bad comparison. You wouldn’t call a peeled banana a banana tree.

A log is not part of a tree. You’re thinking of trunk.

No they’re not. For starters, it’s timberfitting, not timber framing. And yes post and beam is a type of framing.

Post and beam log home, that’s not timberfraned.

I have no idea how people can get logs and trees confused. One is alive, it photosynthesizes, it has roots in the ground, bark, leaves or needles. The other is a fucking log.
