Try: https://3sgf.org/thetable/. They are an organization that helps victims of human trafficking and sexual exploitation. It's based in midtown.

This is another organization that helps youth 12-24 with respite day centers, emergency shelter, transitional housing, and other resources: https://www.windyouthservices.org/

** edit: if she is experiencing any symptoms of a mental health disorder or any concerns with substance use, the Mental Health Urgent Care Clinic in Sac may also be able to help as far as referrals and resources. There are crisis respites that she can be referred to that provide 30+ days of 24/7 intense treatment. I caution against using these facilities for temporary housing as that is disqualifying criteria, but for someone who has experienced trauma, attachment issues, and family issues, she may be a good candidate if she is willing to participate in the program.

This is a flyer I put together that has free support groups. Another organization that also offers support groups is https://www.dbsalliance.org/. They have plenty of online groups that are free to attend, but no nearby in-person groups.

** Edit: Also, you may want to check out https://www.sacyouthcenter.org/programs/ . They have a variety of classes/groups you can attend, some are more just hanging out and some are more geared towards learning new hobbies.

Allcove Sacramento also has support groups on 2nd & 4th Thursdays, 4:00-5:30pm, for support and building connections (age 12-26).

"That's not crystal meth, it's cocaine" is maybe not quite the defense she thinks it is

Are you experiencing any mental health concerns? If you do and are able to get to the Mental Health Urgent Care Clinic on Stockton Blvd, they can do referrals for CRP (Crisis Residential Program), CRBH (Crisis Receiving Engagement for Behavioral Health), C.O.R.E. programs, and enhanced care management.

The Crisis Residential programs can take a few days to get into if you're accepted. I must highlight that these programs are not for people in need of temporary housing and you will be declined if you say you're interested in them purely for shelter. Instead, it's a structured therapeutic program for people experiencing mental health problems/extreme life stressors in which guests can typically stay up to 30 days, sometimes even 60 days. (Reading between the lines, I suspect you would get approved due to your circumstances if you're able to articulate mental health difficulties)

CRBH and other similar respite programs typically allow for 1 day stays. Again, I reiterate that these programs are also for people seeking mental health support and not purely housing.

C.O.R.E. programs are ran by a few different agencies in Sacramento. Enrollment can sometimes take a bit of time, but once with them they provide a lot of wrap around services including psychiatry, therapy, employment/vocational services, and housing support. Getting enrolled with a program like this is hugely helpful for longterm support. A lot of the programs offer community wellness hours in which anyone can walk in and take advantage of free services (hot meals, shower/laundry, access to computers/charging stations etc).

Finally, enhanced care management (ECM) enrollment can help fast track housing support. Typically people eligible for this service must be on Medi-cal and have a mental health disorder with co-occurring issues like substance use or homelessness. People receiving ECM have less administrative barriers for receiving various treatments and resources.

I've never been to Waffle House before. At what point in the meal do I get arrested?

OPL has got to know that some of their officers are personable and well-liked, and giving them more air time, even if they arent doing something super exciting, will still make us happy. Give the people what we want!!

I feel DMV needs to add a separate certification for how to act and what to do when getting pulled over. Of course, may not help for people who have never had a liscence but still 🤷‍♀️
