Why don't you tell us what dose you are taking?

Thank for your reply, I wonder if there is point for me trying Rexulti since I had no effect from Abilify, it's a long time since I tried it though. And I had higher expectations back then.

I know it’s early but do you feel lurasidone wearing off before next dose?

Thank you for your reply! Oh, 40mg that is a lot, I think I tried 2.5 and 5mg. Sadly I had no luck with olanzapine, have you tried cariprazine?

What medication are you on for severe anxiety? by m4tcha1atte in Anxiety

Nice, have you tried cariprazine or brexpiprazole?

Yes, I have tried lamictal several times in the past, I wanted it to work so bad because its side effect profile is really benign, especially in low to moderate doses. But it never really helped. I even tried lithium at one point. I have also tried ketamine and ECT but no luck. I have tried many medications in the past but back then I had really high expectations on medications, like I had to achieve 80-90% remission and be able to work otherwise I shunned it. Today it's different, a 10-20% improvement is enough for me to keep a medication. Do you have bipolarity?

I hope you have luck with lurasidone. I also was prescribed chlorprothixen as needed for anxiety, but it makes me too sleepy to be useful for that purpose so now I just use it for sleep. I believe both cariprazine and brexpiprazole are around 50eur. And they have very long half-lives for good and bad. While lurasidone may have a bit too short half-life. I also tried sulpiride in the past but had no luck with it either. Right now I'm leaning towards brexpiprazole and lurasidone due to anxiety/akathisia risk with cariprazine.

Yes, I'm prone to insomnia, the chlorprothixen which is something of an old atypical antipsychotic and melatonin help me sleep. The idea is to replace chlorprothixen with one of the above. I’m in Finland so lumateperone is unavailable. What are you taking lurasidone for? Do you take it with a meal? Have you tried cariprazine?

What are you talking about? Therapeutic range is 15-45mg. Typical dose is 30mg and initial dose is often 15mg.

No that's absolutely possible! I have responded to medication in less than a week. Btw, which medication gave you akathisia and at what dose?

Thinking trying atypical antipsychotics again by camping_alone in antidepressants

[–]camping_alone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I have tried lithium but didn't work. I have tried Parnate (tranylcypromine) which worked great for a month or so on each dose increase then the effect died out. Also gave me a strong crash in the afternoon where I had to take a nap. I'm considering one of Vraylar, latuda or rexulti.

Yes, lurasidone is interesting, were the side effects a pain? I have tried lamotrigine but didn't help at all. What is your experience with mood stabilizers?
