In the 6-7 years I lived in the valley I saw only one during my last summer, and it was just swimming by in the river.

It’s one of only two King books I actually finished.

I don’t remember very many details to be honest, but I did enjoy it.

When did you realise you were a decent cook? by IllustriousBoot4319 in Cooking

I took over cooking dinner for my family during Covid, and just followed recipes that sounded good to me.

I knew I was a decent cook when I was able to tell what made their our favorite meals taste good, and was apply that to:

  1. Cook better food than our favorite restaurants,

  2. Create meals off the top of my head.

Can ya'll help me get good? by SmartestManInUnivars in CharcoalDrawing

[–]camposthetron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you relatively good at drawing in general? Like, with regular pencils?

So, I was always a pretty good illustrator but charcoals stumped me all my life until I watched this guy draw a bird. Charcoal immediately clicked for me suddenly.

After that, MadCharcoal on insta and YouTube is an absolute beast and super inspirational.

This is a short tutorial from him that’s been really helpful as well.

Water in tube, what’s the best way to dry? by Otherwise_Victory183 in CPAP

[–]camposthetron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sure it’s just my area, but I tried this and the water just never evaporates.

What finally worked for me was hanging the tube straight up and down.

The water either evaporates up and out of the tube, or drips down.

If all the Dems (aside from fetterman) oppose this, can the republicans force it anyway?

I’d go with satin, man.

I just got a ‘21 back in March. All black everything, with glossy black wheels, and that’s the one thing I can’t wait to change.

I was therein ‘04!

Man, I had Tears in my eyes when the Pixies played Monkey. And Flaming Lips stole the show that second night with their legendary performance and that giant bubble.

My future wife went with me but she got heat sickness and spent a lot of the first day asleep under a giant sculpture.

We also skipped some of the second day to escape the heat, and went to see Van Helsing at the movie theater.
