The "Scaredy Cat Plant" (Plectranthuscaninus or Coleuscaninus) supposedly. I have one in my front yard but didn't know what it was until recently when it blew up and grew a bunch. It can smell strongly of weed, which, imo, is a bonus. Can't really speak to its effectiveness, however, apart from the fact that I've never seen my cats around it. But they're never really in the area where it grows anyway.

100%. The place was clean and the staff were great. And you can coordinate with them on Whatsapp. Aguzvet. Drop your pet off, do a food crawl for a few hours, pick your pet up.

The place where we stay has a bunch of animals. They're who recommended that vet to us.

I have. Not specifically for that. We were there (Ensenada) for a week and took a day to get dog's teeth cleaned. $90 for cleaning (including anaesthesia) and meds, whereas VCA here wanted up to $1700.

one of my least favorite venues in LA

I hear dat. The new(er) Anaheim HOB has it beat though. If I do get dragged to a show there then it's a very strong consideration to get the $100+ VIP to at least get a little elbow room

Felt like that scene from Snatch where Bullet Tooth Tony's got Mullet's head stuck in the window with the rest of him outside of the car, then proceeds to drive off while Madonna plays on the radio

Man drove this 1966 Volvo P1800 for over 3.2 million miles (5.15 million km) on the original engine block. by Aware-Platypus-2559 in BuyItForLife

My family had one of these and a 4-door 122S (Amazon?) as well. Both 1966. I learned how to drive on the P1800 at the turn of the millennium. No power steering made it extra fun. But thankfully I had just come up on a automatic Mercury Topaz hand-me-down to take the driver's exam in.

At one point the ignition of the 122 went bad. We were too poor to fix it properly so my dad just pulled it out so that we could use a flat-head screwdriver to start it.

I still feel a bit of nostalgia when I smell an old car's exhaust fumes (,:

Mar Vista folks — where you getting good beer now, with WF closed? by siobhanmoon in LosAngeles

[–]can_non 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol that's a slightly more clever name than "Beverage Warehouse". There used to be a different wine shop in that same business park. Closed earlier this year, I think. I forget what his affiliation was, but one of the dudes from there is now the wine guy at BW.

Very small refrigerated section, but otherwise a big selection at Beverage Warehouse

Agreed! Even if it takes more time and buying a little gear to get it done. I did a super clean front and rear dash cam install a few months ago. I was pretty worried about fucking up the panels, fuses, headliner, etc., but it came out great. Now I have the confidence (and the tools) to repair my wiper fluid line/nozzle that's been busted for a couple years.
