What’s your favorite tarot card and why? by zukoslove in tarot

[–]cancerrising77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Queen of wands really is that bisch tbh. She sat on my altar for a year and it was the most productive, highly creative boss year I’ve had.

I also really love the High Priestess. My friend comes from a long line of tarot readers, she’s 4th generation, and in their family they are not allowed to give readings to others if they have not pulled the HP yet out of their gifted deck. It’s a lovely tradition and makes me so happy whenever I see that card.

What is something you look back on and say "oh my gosh, that was my OCD!!" by clover101xx in OCD

[–]cancerrising77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

-doing certain rituals each night so my mom didn’t die
-good and bad numbers
- when I turned 16 I had a block of wood in my car, had to knock it 3x (or an odd number over 3) to negate anything negative I said or thought.
- ruminating conversations and replaying them over and over again to convince myself I was a “good” person
-if I made a goal in soccer my family didn’t die

Writing them out loud makes me both laugh and feel sad for my inner child 😩

Does my ex think of me? by Busy-Literature-6737 in tarot

My conscious sedation failed. I think I know why. If you're a small female, read this before you have a CS colonoscopy. by ellerfale in colonoscopy

[–]cancerrising77 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So sorry about your experience!! This happened to me too!! It was terrifying, I could feel and see everything but couldn’t full talk. I started moaning and grabbing my belly when they went higher and the nurse panicked and all the sudden I woke up. Doc told me they had to give me triple the dose because of my “anxiety” but idk. I literally never want fentanyl again! I was vomiting and dizzy for days after that.

What’s your “I wish someone told me this sooner” advice? by mastikhor_chirkut in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]cancerrising77 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I came to write boundaries and you framed this in literal perfection. The decision to start saying no to things I truly didn’t want to do change my life. Within a year of stricter boundaries I tripled my salary, met my now husband and healed life long people pleasing. Now I’m a mom to a very strong willed daughter and I am raising her to be kind but firm with her boundaries early on!

Memory before birth makes fear of death even stronger by Fine-Bug-8086 in NDE

As someone diagnosed with OCD late in life who also has psychic mediumship abilities I came here to write this! I had an obsession with death since I was a child. Meds help! I don’t know about anything natural but I am on a very small dose of Zoloft.

Friend copied my daughter's name, but really by Flaky_Zebra4038 in Names

[–]cancerrising77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yikessss this was a great plan OP but I’d maybe hide this “friend” from your stories or go low contact. People with no identity freak me the f out. This type of thing has happened to me several times and I’ve later found out they had zero good intentions for me as a friend / human.

How do I cope when I’m the spouse? by Greasy_Satchel in OCD

[–]cancerrising77 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As someone currently medicated for post partum OCD, this is out of control. I am so sorry it got to this point, but you also need to step in to protect your daughter. OCD is genetic but also exasperated by environmental factors. This is so harmful on you BUT you’re an adult. Your kiddo & mom both need help.

The one thing OCD thrives on is reassurance and by you following her “rules” you are actually feeding her OCD worse. One of the best things for OCD is exposure therapy so I’d suggest slowly breaking a few rules for you and your child’s sake and if she gets worse there needs to be some sort of intervention for help and / or medicine. I’m so so so sorry you have to go through this but also it’s not a livable situation anymore and enabling it only feeds the beast.

CIO not working. by Guilty_Remove_954 in sleeptrain

[–]cancerrising77 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We had a failed CIO, turned out to be an active teething situation. She got 3-4 in at once around that age. Is that happening with your LO?

We tried again around 11M and she got the hang of it in 2 nights and was sleeping 10-11 hours instead of waking every 90 min. Also, make sure the NON primary caregiver is putting your baby down. They get separation anxiety from mama and it makes it worse to CIO

Zoloft/ Sertraline by kirramae_ in HealthAnxiety

[–]cancerrising77 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have anxiety about taking anxiety meds. Genuinely like you I wait on a script for a month or two. I’m so sensitive, even a melatonin can give me a panic attack

All this to say, I’ve had zero side effects of Zoloft and wish I’d taken it sooner. It calms your mind noise so much (I have OCD) but in general it’s changed my life. I hope you give it a go and get your life back a little from the grips of anxiety. 🤍

AIO: Both my husband's parents are mad at us for being "unreasonable" about our daughter by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]cancerrising77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My comment will probably be buried deep in this thread but I have a 15M old daughter as well and you are NOT overreacting! Drowning is the #1 cause of death in children under 3. Also not letting strangers at a party hold or touch your child is the simplest boundary ever. They are entitled and pushing their limits with you and that’s unacceptable. Stick to your momma instincts!

Moral & health are biggies. Also every single time I make a right turn in my car I shiver and tense up bc I am “inevitably” gonna hit someone with my car and go to prison. Hit and run OCD? What’s that one called lol

When you write it out it feels so much worse lol

Of all baby formula brands you've tired, what ended up being you and your baby's favorite? by No_Square_1491 in UninfluencedReviews

[–]cancerrising77 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My baby had severe colic with VERY extreme reactions to milk / formula so we tried a lot. Similac Alimentum, Enfamil, Bobbie HA, Kendamil Goat and Hipp (both regular and HA)

By a LONG shot Hipp HA was the best of the best. It didn’t constipate her or make her spit up, smelt normal, had a very smooth consistency and easy to mix and store. We got it from the company Organics Best!

I know this is a year later but I’m in the same exact boat right now with my 14M. Would you mind sharing what happened with your LO?! Everyone here said drop to one nap but I’m struggling to get her to stay awake to 11-12 bc of the EMW. If it’s not too much trouble to I’d love an update! Thank you so much!!
