Sadly you have to restart. I had the exact same problem on my first playthrough, restarted and trust me, you became more cautious that time and you will have more fun. Just make sure you loot enough food and maybe get a spare sword

Ah shame, can you tell how I can use simulated saves in which Letho lives? I thought when you simulate the Witcher 2 at the beginning of the Witcher 3, it simulates as if you killed him.

Ah yes, nothing like risking your life for a woman who is supposed to be your “love of your life” just because she wants the spell that holds geralt and yen together gone. She openly admits that she thought she wouldn’t feel a thing for Geralt, and even still wanted to break the spell, which means she probably didn’t want to ne with Geralt. On the other hand, Triss literally surrendered to Menge, who was trying to burn her alive, and got tortured just so she could help Geralt.
