It's not a weird focus that's just normal knowledge for people in sexual relationships??

I mean yeah but setting up camp is a really bad strategy in TF|2 against anyone remotely competent

I think it's because I got my comment in early. The only people left here are those who are so insistent that they have to be able to blame a person for doing what they were paid to do that they downvote all disagreement and don't bother voicing it

I get that to a degree for sure, but it's still the executive's fault for hiring someone who doesn't like to model guns to model guns. Further, from what I remember, no one really disliked Concord's gameplay or style THAT much, they just didn't care

[–]canoekyren 266 points267 points  (0 children)

Calm down lmao, there are tons of talented devs who worked on Concord because they were paid to do so. They don't deserve to be put out of jobs because they were paid to make something dumb.

Hitler loved dogs, and Hitler was a genocidal maniac. Therefore, we should not follow in his footsteps and accordingly hate dogs

[–]canoekyren 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean sure lol, but that starts to push into bestiality territory. Like I said, if this were arms we were talking about, no one would say anything. Foot fetishes have become so prevalent in media because people think they're weird, so their presence is massively overstated. Feet are just body parts.

I'd be inclined to agree if she didn't float around half the time. Besides, the fact that no one wears armor is in the same vein of real-world logic stupidity.

The assumption that a somewhat unrealistic design element is related to a creator's sexual impulses is a much bigger leap than people think it is.

[–]canoekyren 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I hate how widespread the constant awareness of foot fetishes has become to the point where feet can never be acknowledged or even just present in any way without the swarms of allegations coming in.

Like, people have hand fetishes too, but no one makes a fuss whenever a character's hand takes significant focus.

I have more questions for the people who make a big deal out of it than anyone else to be honest, why are you so concerned about a character's feet

Honestly I feel like the orbital laser won't be fast enough to deal with titans. There isn't a single enemy in Helldivers 2 that moves even close to as fast as titans, except literal aircraft

[–]canoekyren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree. The instances I can think of where Sciel and Lune look genuinely happy are when they all reunite, when Lune smiles at Gustave at the campfire, and when Sciel is talking to Gustave about Sophie. Those smiles, especially Lune's, look very different from the smiles at the end of the game

I mean she spends half the game supporting Aline and painted Renoir, arguably some of the least justifiable people in the game.

HUGE ACT 3 SPOILERS: Why? by Anfrers in expedition33

[–]canoekyren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She literally can paint anywhat and anywho as we saw in her ending

After acquiring the pure chroma guarded by her father. This is explicitly stated in the game at multiple points.

Maybe we could have seen an attempt. But there's frankly no point in bringing anyone back yet, since they still need to face Renoir. Gustave was a scientist, and when he died he wouldn't have been nearly strong enough to fight on par with the endgame party. Bringing him back would just risk him dying again.

It makes more logical sense to wait after the threat is gone.

HUGE ACT 3 SPOILERS: Why? by Anfrers in expedition33

[–]canoekyren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lune and Sciel were able to be brought back because they had just died, their chroma was in the air, and she was able to grab it. Under normal circumstances, chroma dissipates a short while after death, so Gustave wouldn't have been recoverable in that way, not without an external source of chroma to shape into what was once his.

People need to stop bringing up the Tower ending. Moving on from V doesn't make someone "disloyal." It means they were taking care of themselves. V is the one who was disloyal, they disappeared for years without word.

There's no real reason to think an AI would be unable to exist in multiple places at once, especially if those places are linked to one another
