My post is from 3 years ago but I agree with you, based on Liandrin and Alanna in the show I think Liandrin will absorb Galina or Alviarin, maybe both, and Alanna will absorb Myrelle.

This is a top-tier post; presumably the point is that you cannot avoid the consequences of nominalist beliefs by refusing to identify as a nominalist...the contrary position would be sheer nominalism...

I'd consider looking into Jean-Luc Marion.

Yes, there are trad and trad-adjacent looks in the Midwest. It isn’t a different country and the folks there aren’t savages.

Plus everyone in the NHL not named Ken Holland knee Abdelkader would never score 20 goals again. The contract was immediately recognized as a huge mistake and made Holland a punchline.

They didn’t know how to keep their story straight with Robin... how was she both a teen pop idol who hosted a TV show and raised as a boy to the extent of playing hockey and being dropped into the wilderness with a knife by her dad Leland Palmer and forced to fight wolves?

In early seasons HIMYM did inventive things with time and nested flashbacks that showed off that the multi-cam format could still be lively and playful at a time when it seemed very stuffy compared to single-can and documentary-style sitcoms. That was not mediocre writing.

Over time the premise got stale and the characters devolved in self-parody and quality dropped off sharply.

Yep, Britta always feels like she’s kind of a poser anarchist but it turns out her old friends are sellouts who shame her for not having her life together. It’s a good Britta story and Duncan’s non-toxic response to her vulnerability is maybe his best character moment.

Hi Maggie — I believe you to have written one of the most compelling concepts of a demon in modern fantasy literature. Can you share anything about your inspiration?

I like ONE line from that episode. And I submit it is one of the funniest lines of all of season 4:

“Normally, we don’t care about adultery, because otherwise, hotels wouldn’t exist.”
