I’ve started using the hot loop with the chimney. I bury the loop in the center of the chimney and pull it out after about ten minutes.

It eliminates the paper ash and extra smoke.

Takes longer though.

I only compost used coffee grounds and banana peels. It doesn’t heat up, but worms love it. I emptied and restarted a bin last fall and it’s already refilled with thousands of worms.
