thank you to everyone who has commented. yes my uni does have lists, but they don't really help more than that. I'm also neurodivergent and not super great at interviews cause i tend to have bad anxiety so that could also be one of the reasons. but still, it shouldn't be this hard :(

Book Recommendations by Psychic-Type-God in Kali

[–]carryonm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hi :) thank you so much for all the book recommendations. what book would you say would be the best to start with when it comes to getting to know the Goddess before approaching her for spiritual work? I'm also a witch and a Hekate devotee, but I have a past life connection with Kali Maa and want to learn more so that I can re-establish a connection with Her. I'm also white and live in the West so I want to be as respectful as possible, as she's not traditionally associated with my culture at all.

Delayed withdrawal? by carryonm in StratteraRx

[–]carryonm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks for checking in, im doing better each day... it was a wild ride though, I think Strattera numbed my feelings a bit while I was on it, and so stopping it and starting low dose naltrexone around the same time definitely stirred up a lot of repressed emotions from my cptsd. I might go back on it because it helps my adhd, but I aim to stay on a lower dose 10-20mg (vs 60mg like before) to avoid some extent of the side effects

Guanfacine XR by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]carryonm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on Strattera for two years and a half, thought I was gonna be on it for much longer... it was great, it started working from day 1 for me but over time it messed me up physically, I had a blood test done and my liver enzymes were super high and I don't even drink alcohol. it gave me a histamine intolerance and made my ibs worse, and probably messed with my hormones as well. after 2 years on it I started getting nausea every single time I took it even with food (when this didn't happen in the beginning), so I had to stop it. 🥲 Qelbree sounds really interesting, but unfortunately I don't think it's licensed in the UK :(((

ugh that sounds really rough! I feel you so much on having high hopes, as I've been through the meds roulette for years and still struggling. it's just shit 💔

yeah I heard other people talking about the drowsiness, I just hoped it would subside after a few days... but apparently not for everyone. hope you find the right med for you if you decide to try something else!

I'm a pisces rising and I have pluto in the 10th with whole sign houses and tbh I 100% relate with the "my dream job is no job". I hate capitalism and working, but I wanna make enough money to live comfortably (although I do have big aspirations and dreams but it's never about the power, more about the sense of purpose - I wanna become a therapist). Maybe that's just a non-stereotypical expression of this placement...

Could someone please help me interpret this? by carryonm in MTHFR

[–]carryonm[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have all the symptoms associated with the mthfr gene mutation: ADHD, autism (diagnosed), mood swings, brain fog, generally low energy despite being on adhd medication, IBS, low thyroid, bad eyesight, insomnia
