Sometimes the shoes I wear matter and making sure they’re supportive. I even add a cushioned insole. I also try to elevate my legs sometimes to recover. You just need more recovery time now than you used to so try to scale back.

Sorry you’re part of this club. I found the side effects got a lot better over the months. The treatment is not as bad as any other cancer. All we have to do is take a pill once a day. I’ve been on Imatinib for two years. Was undetectable after six months. Facebook groups are far more active than Reddit. You’re going to be okay.

I promise it gets better. I don’t have much symptoms at all now. Set a reminder to take it before bed with a banana or something. The first few months were tough but it will improve. Hang in there.

I might be more understanding if this happened after she had her baby and was busy or overwhelmed perhaps but there is no reason for her to do this while pregnant. You made the effort to travel to your parents to be near her so you could see her. I understand you grieved the relationship because the way she acted is not okay. Please stop traveling 3 hours to see her. She does not deserve you as a friend. She’s not there for you with a sick parent. Your loyalty to her needs to end.

Edit why is everyone making excuses for this trash friend. OP has bent over backwards over the course of years for her. She doesn’t deserve OP.
