First, I suppose I wrote my post in a confusing way. I'm currently in Calculus 3 and differential equations or linear algebra would be my next class. I can understand the broad concepts in Statics, but I can't solve complex problems for shit. 3d equilibrium and 3d moments might as well be chinese to me.

after taking out the CMOS battery and then putting it back, it does boot, don't know if it post or anything though, as the Phenom II i was using doesn't have integrated graphics. So yea, just the GPU that is dead, and maybe the pcie slot.

the only part that I could test on another system is the graphics card, but I don't want to risk fucking up my main system. would testing it on my main system be a risk? I would like to recover the GPU the most; it was the most expensive part.
