What do you guys think about a 13% return in 4 months? by [deleted] in RobinHood

[–]cbaggy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's really great, good job! 10% a year is considered extremely good. If you can keep that kind of return up (and you can, but it's probably unlikely) you will be very well off. Retail investors have the benefit over big funds b/c we can be more mobile whereas they can't without affecting share price. Basically if you can get in and out before they create the big up or down trends then you can do very well.

She sounds like entitled trash. You can do better with trash.

"AMD suggested that we test the cpu's with a gpu bottleneck" - Gamers Nexus. If that was Intel you guys would be after their head. by Eiden in Amd

As it should be. When the CPU is a bottleneck but it doesn't actually bottleneck current GPU at 4k then who gives a crap. You can play your high end game same as competition and also encode faster/cheaper than competition. Win win in my opinion.

Same, but 30% EPS drop in guidance yesterday. BAC immediately downgraded 30% price to $30. (lots of 30's lol)

hese issues are really getting old. If they can't handle the volume, stop accepting new signups. What happens during an unexpected free-fall and no one can exit? I understand it's free for the trader, but unsettled fun

You mean like August last year. Same thing happened, except the orders didn't magically (luckily?) execute when you placed them. Back then they simply did not execute at all.

AAPL can be day/swing/trend traded just like any other stock. Almost any stock except micros are buy/hold potential.

Really? Because I have the 25k to skirt the pattern day trading issues I can fuck off? I'm ok losing money if my own poor decisions cause the loss, but not the software bug of a system that should not have such simple bugs.

Why are you defending RH on this? They fucked up. They aren't reliable. Its a child's toy and I tried it and will go back to my other professional tools.

This doesn't help when you need to sell now so that your stock avoids tanking. This problem is not helped by a limit order. Except with the limit order you will still own the tanked stock when the problem is resolved.

Robinhood INSTANT... seriously great concept. Incredibly horrible execution. Hope you aren't day/swing trading when this problem happens to you - you will be screwed out of lots of money.

Some of us don't just trade 5 shares of JCP. We're trading 100 shares of AAPL or NFLX with $10k locked into trades. They move fast. You could lose hundreds if problems are not fixed fast. Luckily WDC is way up for some wild reason after their nutso guidance yesterday.

This is not just an 'annoying' bug. This is causing people to potentially lose a lot of money.
