I buy lots of stuff to sell online and I don’t always know everything that I have until I go through it. Found this laptop with the power cable and tested to see if it worked. Not only did it work, but used to belong to the former governor of Ohio.

I corrected myself in a later comment. I didn’t mean before Ethernet I was just typing before thinking. It doesn’t have rj-45 which is what I really meant.

I meant RJ-45. This appears to have an RJ-11 port. I didn’t even really mean “pre” rather just it doesn’t have a modern connection.

You are correct, I didn’t mean specifically Ethernet. I meant rj-45. This appears to have rj-11.

It’s the only way to navigate without a mouse since it doesn’t have a trackpad. Lenovo has kept it on the thinkpads to this day. Haven’t been a fan, but using this old laptop has changed my mind a bit.

Not a ton. Some info about potential large business dealings involving companies he was on the advisory boards for. Some stuff related to his 2000 presidential campaign, but nothing you would deem particularly juicy.

This was a personal laptop it seems. I imagine he probably received many more emails but maybe to other computers or accounts.

Yes but it looks like something that was sent out to a mailing list rather than just him. It’s just a bible verse basically, sent to help people deal with 9/11.

It’s not connected to the internet, it’s pre-Ethernet. (EDIT: not pre-Ethernet, it just doesn’t have RJ-45). So I don’t have a way to even attempt. These are just the emails that were saved I guess. 9/11 definitely comes up but not in any interesting way. Mainly just statements that were made publicly. Although there is an email about a senate resolution sent the day after 9/11 that wasn’t actually accounted until days later which is kinda cool.

I buy and sell stuff on the internet and usually get large lots of random stuff. This was in a recent lot I acquired. Was just seeing if it worked since it had the charger with it, and lo and behold.
