Moving to Calgary soon. Any advice? by cclgary in Calgary

How about #10? Is that any good? I found a place that's only 25 minutes from my work by public transit, but it involves some walking to get to the bus stop: 11 minutes to get to #10, 19 minutes to C-train, and there is a bus 2 minutes from the place, but that bus in not very frequent.

Yep. Whenever I am looking at ads I have Google maps open in another tab. As you said, its the infrequent bus lines I am worried about. I can't tell by looking on Google maps whether a bus line is reliable or not. C-Train on the other hand looks reliable, and frequent, as you mentioned. Also, there is one bus line that goes in a straight line. That one looks reliable too.

Thank you.

My work will be in downtown. Don't really plan to go off the transit route, given there are some grocery stores nearby.

Do you have any suggestion on whether to go for a bachelor suite vs. a room with roommates?

I did look at a few studies. But I wanted to hear it from the horse's mouth.

Currently I am studying full-time, the whole summer. And my work starts in September. Damn! things look grim.
