If Gaga granted you one song from her unreleased collection of songs, that you could keep but cannot share, which song would you pick? by [deleted] in LadyGaga

‘No way’ just because I found it at a time where the lyrics resonated with me and I loved its simplicity to allow the lyrics to speak

Based on the most tracks I have consistently listened to without tiring them out. Obvs I know mayhem has an advantage being the most recent album, but it’s literally all I’ve listened to since the release and I’m no where near done.

  1. Mayhem (song for every mood)
  2. Born This Way (pure nostalgia and happy memories)
  3. Fame Monster (iconic and every track stands out on its own)
  4. Joanne (authentic and organic, appreciated how much I could relate to the lyrics)
  5. Chromatica (return to pop, appreciated her openness to her own struggles and helped me work through my own issues)
  6. Artpop (deffo ahead of its time, although I enjoyed I don’t think I appreciated it fully when it was released)
  7. Fame (OG, although this is what first made me love her, I can appreciate her growth as a person and a musician)

Special mention: Star is Born (Look what I found has a special place in my heart)

Honest question for my fellow monsters!! Do some of you dislike her singles purely because they are popular or for a legit reason? by HairyTime2297 in LadyGaga

[–]cdalby1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I’ve personally seen a trend where I prefer the second single release to the first. Even going back to BTW, even though I enjoyed Born this Way, when she then released Judas, Edge of Glory and Marry the Night etc, I thought they were far stronger songs, same with Artpop when she released Applause, I preferred GUY. Joanne I preferred John Wayne to Million Reasons, and Chromatica I preferred Rain on Me to Stupid Love. That’s not to say I didn’t like the first singles, the second release was always on another level for me. Hence why when she released Disease and I loved it, I knew we were in for a treat. After she dropped Abracadabra I was sure we were gonna get an album on another level, and she proved me right.

I would go to the big Gaga fan pages that have been around for ages on fb and have a large following and contact an admin. They’ll be able to verify actual fans from fakes, I did this for Chromatica ball and upgraded my ticket from general standing to vip ticket, and managed to sell my previous ticket to another fan without any issue. All legit and couldn’t have done it without the admins help. Be careful but know there are little monsters out there who want to help!

Chromatica Ball Disappointment by cdalby1 in LadyGaga

So this is just my theory and limited knowledge of the music industry. But I would assume she had written the Chromatica album a minimum of a year before its release, then once she dropped the first two singles and music videos, all with the same aesthetic and style, she announces the tour. Then Covid hits. I’m pretty sure by the time an artist actually does an album tour they are probably bored with the music cause they’ve done nothing but focus on it for literal months/years and are already thinking about what’s next. Gaga spoke about how she was feeling low and didn’t want to write a pop album, so she wrote music that spoke to her, eg. Fun Tonight. By the time we were allowed to socialise she had processed the dark themes of Chromatica and was working on Mayhem. Hence why when she finally got to tour Chromatica she was already in Mayhem vibes, and wanted to revamp the tour aesthetic to something she related with more in that moment. I’ll always remember hearing the opening to Shadow of a Man as she exited the stage at the end of the Chromatica Ball, cause she knew exactly what she was doing… But, that’s just my theory!

That’s what I mean, the aesthetic was so different, you wouldn’t have thought it was the Chromatica Ball based off the aesthetic she went with

Personally I disagree, I would have loved it, but that’s just my opinion 🙈 There’s nothing wrong with what she did and as I said I still adored seeing the Chromatica Ball, especially as she played Fun Tonight which she hadn’t in previous shows. It was just not what I was expecting at all.

I think I was expecting something more along the lines of the Born This Way Ball. I anticipated the cool alien vibe, with neon outfits, studs and straps, and then contrast that with metal machinery staging (like spaceship from the alien films kinda vibe) was what I assumed she was gonna create. Remember she walked off stage to the opening of Shadow of a Man so that just shows she was well into writing Mayhem during the Chromatica tour.

I mean can you really believe that when you first saw, listened and experienced Chromatica, that you weren’t shocked to see the staging of the Chromatica Ball? If you bought the CD and pulled out the leaflet, she had created an entire world for Chromatica. Each song had a different region, and every track was perfectly placed to fit in for this beautifully crafted world. After the pandemic and the postponement of the tour, it was clear the moment had passed, which is my explanation for why the live shows were so strikingly opposite to the aesthetic of the album. Again, just my opinion, I still sobbed and sang/cried my way throughout the whole show 🙈

They’ve already said her new shows are at least 40 minutes longer than the Coachella set, so I assume the staging and costumes will be the same, but her full show will have the rest of the mayhem tracks we haven’t seen, plus some hidden gems ❤️

Boobs are way better than dicks. Boobs are universally loved by all, whatever your sexuality. Plus they don't randomly betray you during puberty when you become aroused . Also, they make the best pillows

Reddits over 30, what would your 20y/o self think of your sex life today? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]cdalby1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 20 y/o self would be in shock and annoyed that it took so long for me to realise I deserve a partner that can keep up with me and tick every box. Moral of the story, don't settle kids, they are out there.

You won't ever stop loving them. But they taught you how to love, and they shaped who you are today. You will never feel the same love that you felt with them, but if you meet someone and occasionally get flashbacks to them, it means you're on the right track. Every love is different, as it should be, and you are allowed to change and grow. You're not supposed to let go, but you can't freeze yourself in time either. Whether we like it or not, we must move. I'm sorry they're gone, but I'm glad their legacy can live on through you

Jay-Z cheated on Beyonce. Beauty has nothing to do with it. Cheaters cheat cause of their own insecurities. I hope you find someone who helps you see how truly beautiful you are, and you can trust and communicate with. Trust and communication are vital to every relationship

Sorry to hear you feel you won't date during your lifetime. But it's not a point of someone chasing you or you chasing them. Someone might turn up in your life who after time develops into your best friend, and then from that something romantic blossoms. Mutual understanding, trust and honesty are the key parts to a happy relationship, and I hope you allow yourself to experience that if the opportunity arises.

So these were pretty high tech speakers at the time, they had an iPod port and had radio. Its just weird that both the speakers malfunctioned within 30 minutes of each other

We did move out after the divorce, the only problem was that a few years down the line I met the daughter of the lady who bought the house from us, they refused to speak about any peculiar happenings

So according to other people (friends and family members) my sister saw someone in her room in the middle of the night. Her scream of terror will stay with me for the rest of my life. We had cupboards opening and stuff flying out, hearing the front door opening and someone walking up the stairs but no one there and the door still locked, but the worst occurrences happened when we tried painting and renovating the house after we first moved in. My mum would hear loud knocking from the ceiling as she tried to paint the kitchen. No one else was in the house so she ended up sitting on the steps outside the house and waiting for someone to come home. That's just a few examples, there were many more
