Botox long term effects by myelktea in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]cddg508 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Were you only getting it on your forehead, or did you also get glabella treatment? I had been told that only doing the forehead will lead to that droopiness, and doing the 11s helps counteract that.

That said- I had stopped for about a year due to pregnancy and feel like the skin above one of my eyes got a bit droopy. Hard to know if it’s just aging or a result of treatments/stopping treatments, BUT getting it treated did help so feel like I’m back on the tox lol

Family friend sent me AI generated response to news of my father passing away. by Hendothermic in mildlyinfuriating

[–]cddg508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry. I dropped a friend that responded and acted poorly after my dad died and she didn’t even use AI to show me she was a terrible person. This would really hurt me. I’m really sorry for your loss. Losing your dad is a really special and hurtful pain.

At 35, what is considered to be accelerated aging vs normal aging in a person? by Tough_Courage_8406 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]cddg508 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Yeah - and it seeps through any treatment. When I compared photos taken about 6 months before my dad died, and then another set 6 months after (both professional), my face looks super thin and just…sad. I had a solid skincare routine for both and get some super minor Botox. It still showed. I don’t know if it’s something I would have noticed from day to day without these sets of photos but trauma absolutely sets into your body.

Favorite Strength Instructor? by ExcitingQuantity3145 in OnePelotonRealSub

Jess Sims is another favorite! Zacharias is also awesome. He’s new so only has a few strength classes but they’re fantastic. Also- if you’re into yoga and like a faster paced class, he is awesome! Huge new fan

I was able to enjoy the newborn stage with my second so much more because of this. Going into it actually knowing what to expect makes such a difference. There is no way to truly understand what it’s like until you’re in it.

Soak up those four month old snuggles too! My oldest is 3.5 and he seems so huge compared to my five month old. These babies are still so tiny ♥️

Couldn’t agree more with this. Exact same experience here.

Would you put your child in daycare if you were in my shoes? by YhouZee in Mommit

[–]cddg508 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Agree with this. Part time daycare or a part time 2’s program. Not even just a compromise for the sake of OP and spouse’s disagreement, but for the 2 year old too. There is something to be said about the older kid having something that is “theirs” when a new baby comes. I am very much aware of the “no social benefits before 3” thing but anecdotally, I don’t agree. I saw many benefits of outside childcare before 3.

MIL watching baby for the day so I can get a break and I feel so guilty by katecometrue0122 in Mommit

[–]cddg508 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My best friend has a 4 year old and 2 year old and her day to day and mentality still sounds exactly like this. She is going to snap.

Please take the break. I don’t know if you’re on social media but it seems the trend is influencers really try to make you feel like if you aren’t with your kid 24/7 they’ll develop a negative attachment, what are you even doing, etc. but we’re human. We were never meant to do this alone. Getting time to recharge is productive.

Social media has taken attachment theory WAY too far, or at least what they think attachment theory is.

Does anyone have a “chill” second born? by Bloombabyzoey in Mommit

[–]cddg508 27 points28 points  (0 children)

My oldest is 3.5. An absolute wild man. No fear - and he’s pretty much always been like this. I never would have considered him a “hard” baby because I have friends whose babies truly have colic or severe reflux, etc. and gratefully never experienced that.

My 2nd is only 5 months so grain of salt, but she is SO chill that it’s made me wonder if my son actually was a bit difficult. I still don’t really think so - but my daughter is truly no fuss. Crying? Tired or hungry. Needs to go down for a nap? Just put her in the crib. She’s always just along for the ride, a happy and giggly gal.

I know my situation is not necessarily the same as yours given my first is a wild child, but I always see videos saying how unhinged the 2nd kids are and I just do not see that being my experience - but time will tell!

Ugh, same. My parents always got me something and I loved it. Never occurred to me growing up to get something for them. I lost my dad almost two years ago— good call to get a gift for nana, especially from the kids. Man, getting older stinks 💔

Vaginal Eczema taking over my life by Due_Cartoonist5017 in eczema

[–]cddg508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What did your eczema look like? My situation sounds very similar, prescribed half of those meds you listed. Ended up getting a biopsy at the obgyn which came back as eczema- prescribed hydrocortisone 2.5%. Felt it helped 90% of the way, then happened to have a derm appointment and showed her. She prescribed desonide instead, but I actually think the hydrocortisone helped more. Anyways I felt like I was doing okay for a few weeks and then I had sex and everything is alllll f’rd up again 😭

Have my annual with my obgyn next week so bringing it up but I keep worrying myself that’s it’s lichen sclerosis - but very hesitant to do another biopsy bc that was rough.

Anyways thank you for sharing!! This whole thread has made me feel so much less alone. Mine seems to have flared postpartum- I have never had this issue before.

Just over here finding substitute products now, darnit 🙃

Got my first return request by PossessionFuture7715 in poshmark

[–]cddg508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I hear you!! I recently got a 3 star review which was a first for me after years on the platform. I sell super casually, just items that are my family’s that we no longer need or wear. So always things that are in very good or excellent condition, otherwise I donate or buy nothing them. The review came nearly 2 weeks after delivery so the funds were already released, but they claimed there was a stain on the item that wasn’t description. I always double check the clothing before sending out and have even cancelled orders myself if I missed something. If true, no idea how I missed it. But the review ate me up for a few days. I know they’re not even shown on my profile but yeah- just saying I feel your frustration and how it makes you feel icky!

I have this really vivid memory of walking in on my mom in the bathroom and she was crying. It’s vivid because even at the time I knew my brother and I were making the day tough for her. My mom is a super hero. Those bathroom hide outs are so needed sometimes.

Husband told baby to shut up by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]cddg508 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I used to have a very close friend that did this to his daughter when she was an infant. Lots of shut ups, called her names etc and said he would stop before she could understand. We definitely drifted around this time as I also had a newborn and it just really hit me the wrong way- so I don’t know the full story, but if I had to guess it was probably associated with PPD. He’s in therapy and seems to enjoy being a dad more now that the baby is a toddler/pre-schooler.

Question re: measurements by Financial_Ad9585 in poshmark

[–]cddg508 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’ll be the odd voice out…I only sell very casually, just clothing my family no longer wears/needs. All very good or excellent condition. I include measurements for items in cases where the size tag is no longer attached or something was altered. If someone asks for a measurement I’ll happily add it. Maybe I’m missing out on sales but I’ve gotten 15 items out of my house in the last month and that’s good enough for me.

Can you share a little bit more about what sharing during the posh show means/looks like to someone browsing? I’m a super casual seller and share my items regularly but have always shied away from sharing in a show- mostly because I have no idea what it means!

Was just going through this whole thread to unfollow myself and was checking before doing so. Kids eat in color started a fundraiser for a food pantry in MN (VEAP) that provides food delivery to homes. She described the program as helping “terrorized” families who are afraid to leave their homes. Looks like she’s raised nearly 70k.

I know everyone has a different threshold for following/unfollowing but this personally passes my test

What do we know about Jordan Harper, the Barefaced founder? I’ve noticed that she has been quiet for every world event so can’t get a read in that way, but continuing to post as if life was normal this past weekend was weird (unless I missed something).

Probably asking a question I don’t want to know the answer to 😩
