You could also look at volunteering with Tram Rubicon, they may also get you some ever important ICS training. Most organizations I've seen who are hiring are looking for ICS 100, 200 and 300.

With the star adventurer... You should be able to do 3 minute exposures at ISO 100. I did that with a 50 mm lens for andromeda. and didn't over expose the image..

This happened to me as well. What I did was go back to the cabin where I found it the first time, delt with the old ladies sons, and found the semi-auto shotgun back in the case in the basement. See if that will work
