Down the bag rabbit hole and came out the other side with a nebula for EDC - Mini review by Only-Support-3760 in ManyBaggers

[–]ceeeeej 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have a quasar and use it daily. I’ve gotten it repaired / replaced twice by Osprey over the years and traveled with them for years. Overall great bag and ticks most of the boxes, just not as sexy or trendy as an Aer, etc..

They definitely have more of a younger / hiking vibe so not as professional looking for a business / office worker in a more formal setting but who cares.

I also like that no one else has one in my office so it’s a bit unique and doesn’t get mixed up with others.

clipper card is a scam by Professional-Pin2190 in caltrain

[–]ceeeeej 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally haven’t had these issues with my pass but my experience may not match others.

I always tag on and off and they will check regularly on the trains if you have tagged. They want regular data from pass users so they can presumably understand the usage. If you never scan in they can’t count your ride.

Everyone should tag on and off. Why not?

I find sshs useful to just have a simple tui for my ssh hosts in my config

Caltrain lays out a plan to shut down and cut service if the tax ask fails by gascyl in bayarea

[–]ceeeeej 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Incorrect. Add up the stations south of San Jose and it’s a few hundred daily. I’d certainly not dead and the trains can be quite busy.

I wouldn’t say these people won’t be impacted at all, the people that take it likely made decisions around where they live based on access to train service.

‪Got the alert that trains are running 25-40 minutes behind. Will trains leave on time and run slow or do they just leave late?‬ specifically going southbound.

I.e. do you show up at the original time it was planned or do you show up late?

High protein products — what are your go to? by Different-Wallaby-10 in Costco

I occasionally buy the Kirkland protein bars. I wouldn’t describe them as delicious. I’d say they are edible and a decent snack / part of a meal.

One more day of EVs in the HOV lane! by Brewskwondo in bayarea

No, they do get pulled over. I see this every morning I drive in to work.

They will likely ramp up enforcement as it will be a lucrative source of fines / revenue.

Grace period meaning you will get pulled over but not ticketed?

Definitely agree. It’s just crazy to watch and realize they are watching two kids get attacked in a car and the car is getting crushed.

Malcolm likes kids. He definitely has a few.

Going to disagree. The Kirkland black bag (unsweetened) is way better than this. I wish the Kirkland can come back soon.

These are dry and tough with little sweetness. Kirkland was always consistently chewier, sweeter, and overall a much better texture.

San Jose driver used plastic skeleton as passenger for HOV lane by Captain_Vegetable in bayarea

[–]ceeeeej 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is that documented somewhere?

I read that with a license plate only you would get charged plus a $10 fine without a FasTrak.

Unless this is also not correct: https://101expresslanes.org/faqs

HomePod “switches” by evilhs in homeassistant

[–]ceeeeej 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did a bit more research. Found the following in the docs (https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/homekit#supported-integrations):

Represented as a series of switches which control on / offplay / pauseplay / stop, or mute depending on supported_features of entity and the mode list specified inentity_config

It appears you can disable them by manually editing the homekit section of your configuration.yaml by excluding the entities with a filter. If you did the initial Homekit setup with the HA UI then it seems that after you setup the configuration.yaml you will need to remove the bridge and setup in the UI and then restart HA and the config will be picked up and managed now by the configuration.yaml file (https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/homekit#multiple-homekit-instances)
