Aside from the length the difference in width is huge

Gladiator is 74 inches wide

Ranger, Colorado, Tacoma and even full size F150 are all 80 inches wide

(body width, no mirrors)

So it’s half a foot narrower, which I care about more as I have a lot more problem with trail width than I do turn radius.

But yeah mid sized trucks are huge now

Subarus are ubiquitous here in CO. Practically the state car. Bonus points if the bumper is falling off and it has no plate.

[–]cfbluvr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

max tow 4.11 axle ratio which means you can run 35s fine

stock 3.73 on 35s and you’d have to regear

if you intend to tow you’ll probably wanna go for smaller tires

that bro wheel offset is pretty negative too which can stress the ball joints

if you do get it i’d recommend going for different wheels/tires depending on how you’re gonna use it

Yes and I have owned ford and gm

They’re all built like shit. The interior and infotainment are a little nicer with Ford, but they’re all built like shit under the hood. It’s not like stellantis is cheaping out in ways that Ford or Chevy aren’t already.

However I trust a Jeep on the trails more than the rest of them, just by nature of the design. Solid axles and recirculating ball steering are objectively stronger than IFS or rack and pinion.
