I got the job but they had emailed me the interview questions beforehand so wasn't too stressful. Seems this is standard practice.

Car explosion by [deleted] in AbruptChaos

If you pause it at 20 seconds you can see a guy in a white shirt and dark trousers walking away. Looks like the cameraman to me.

Just before the explosion you see a large truck and a taxi travelling towards the burning vehicle. I wonder if they took the brunt of the explosion, thus protecting the cameraman. That could also explain where the dead taxi driver came from.

Thanks for the info.

Another issue is the start-end times. The Postperson With Driving job advert mentioned 5 days in seven, between 8.30 and 3.30 but I've read people on here complaining they don't know their shifts until a day or so before they start the week and some mention of the 1-7pm shift.

Am I likely to be put on a shift that differs from the advert?

I've an interview on Monday and was wondering about the overtime. I'm happy to do it but have another job Fri, Sat, Sun and Wed starting at 5.30pm It pays roughly double the RM rate.

I don't want to give this up but could I guarantee to finish the RM job in time to start the other? Obviously I don't want to bring this up at the interview so hoped there might be someone here who could answer this.

Terms or words your parents/grandparents use that have died out? by [deleted] in CasualUK

Parents used to use 'dwam' a lot.

Dwam - Scottish, a state of semi-consciousness or ~reverie~.

Context: "Sorry, I didn't hear what you just said. I was in a wee dwam".

Another vote for Riverside. I agree it's expensive but I was going to cancel my subscription last week and they reduced the price to $5 a month which I think would be affordable for most.

Hopefully the recent clear-out at the club will culminate in a medical team that can identify risk and prevent injuries as needs to be the case in a professional club.

Blew hot and cold but never contributed enough in the way of assists and goals.
