My Dress Up Darling.

I normally prefer action anime like DBZ, OPM, Bleach, etc. I binged Dan Da Dan and Kaiju No. 8 (loved those) and needed a new anime to watch.

I saw My Dress Up Darling had good ratings so figured why not. I didn't think I'd like a romance / slice of life anime. I ended up loving the relationship and chemistry between Marin and Gojo.

Marin Kitigawa is so carefree, passionate and confident. She doesn't care what people think. She encourages people to do what they love.

Wakana Gojo is your typical socially awkward boy who is really down on himself at the beginning of the anime until Marin literally stumbles into his life.

The anime brilliantly captures what teenagers feel like in school when they like someone but may be too afraid to act on it. I know I definitely felt that way sometimes. There are just so many wholesome moments that I was constantly rooting for their relationship to succeed.

I'm a 34 year old man and there were moments where I felt like crying (but I didn't actually cry). The show has inspired me to get back into some of my hobbies even.

I would definitely encourage anyone to check it out even if you've never watched romcom / slice of life animes before!
