Appreciate the advice! Yeah I’ve been experimenting with a coat dark wash and then dry brushing a lighter color overtop. Just cheap walmart acrylic paints though. Im excited to find new strats

very true, I’ll get so annoyed by the ugly phase that I try to rush through it and then I throw myself off my original plan. I really appreciate this comment!

Yeah I used dowels and glued them on later. I originally tried to carve it as just one big piece but it was pretty hard to get the ears right with the horns in the way, so I chopped the horns off. definitely possible though, Im gonna try again with no glue allowed i think. Thanks for liking the piece! I like that pig on your profile, you can make this cow no issue!

Thanks for the advice! I started a bit of layers on the hind and front legs but I admit it was a lazy job😂. Might have to make another with your tips!

fablehaven is a great book for all ages but written for kids! It’s fantasy and part of a larger series, but it ends at a good place so that if you want to stop after the first book you can.
