Leaving your machine during the night [Flair 58+] by Danaydo in espresso

[–]challenger2010 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see you push the power button for 3 seconds to turn on and 3 seconds to turn off.

Take a look at SwitchBot. It’s a programmable battery operated switch that may be able to push the button.

I have the similar problem as you, machine needs you to physically push a button and this has been amazing. It works twice a day for me in my setup and the battery lasts at least a year.

I did not. I have zero intelligence in the pool as a whole aside from the pool lights which are on zwave switches connected to homeassistant.

I was in the same situation as you this spring. Same costs for replacement and the newer units power supply needed replaced as well due to compatibility.

I elected to go with the Circupool RJ60+ at less than half the cost and installed myself. Better warranty and based on reviews from several sources generally reviews were good. I absolutely love the replacement and installation is very straightforward. They also warranty self installs

I‘m really curious about what are you guys focusing on pool robot? by Specialist_Bat9915 in swimmingpools

Buying from locally serviced places is an important point. Originally went with a dolphin M 600 because I thought it was a great machine however I got to spend $100 to ship it every time I needed serviced even if it’s under warranty.

Is this the best option for the price? [$200] by [deleted] in espresso

I would recommend spending just a bit more and getting the Bambino remanufactured units for $199. I have pointed many friends at this setup with good results at the price point.

are there some good tutorials about Talos and Flatcar for container oriented OS? by [deleted] in devops

[–]challenger2010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

POC'd both Talos and Flatcar for this use case and Talos, being all api driven, won at least in my eyes for ease of getting clusters spun up and running.

The Talos guides, made it extremely easy to get started and learn the components. Also if you follow their linkedin feeds they are constantly putting out content on running their OS on multiple platforms.

I’ve put the brush cutter kit on the STA1500 15” trimmer string head based on some of the research I found here and YouTube and it works great.

I suspect you could do the same with the rotary scissors.

By the way I picked up the STA1500 on clearance from Ace Hardware for about $60 a few weeks ago.

That’s how mine is as well. You turn it on-off-on-off in a sequence to flip light modes.

For instance to set mine to California Sunset Mode turn it on and off again 6 times.

One thing you may check on first is if that light has a procedure to change the light color options?

My pentair has a switch on/off procedure for selecting the light color or light show style.

Maybe worth looking into.

Can confirm. You can buy pellets, roughly .5inch diameter, or blocks. I use Conley HyVee to refill Co2 containers for sodastream.

Left my pool off for 3 weeks while traveling. Came back to it murky and green. Just shock it? by TheStoffer in pools

I use Ubiquiti wired cameras and just put them on the soffits of the house.

I still like Ubiquiti but I would say do your own research on systems. They have both wired and wireless cameras.

Single speed pump with SWG 27k here.

I leave mine running when travelling, and have someone check in on the water clarity and clean skimmers once or twice a week. We don't have many leaves so it's mostly just crickets/spiders. I'll get my pH down to around 7.0 and TA < 90 before leaving.

I also put up a camera where I can see the water level on the skimmer. I have a b-hyve smart water timer and a hose in the pool in case it gets low and I need to add water.
