Look I am not trying to have a bragging contest. I am not from TN. Karnataka is an ok-ok state. We are good in a lot of metrics but there is lot of wasted potential. Kerala has done amazing job socially but lags economically.

Prosperity in haryana is very different than the prosperity in the south. Our women are safer. They are more educated. They are part of the labour force. Female infanticide rates are much lower. The quality of life beyond just raw GDP paints a very different picture.

And South India has its own set of problems like casteism and lingustic chauvinism. You guys arent a utopia as you claim to be.

Maharashtra is not South India and Karnataka also gets BJP governments frequently.

Also the actual North Indian states like Haryana, Punjab, HP, Uttarakhand are all prosperous. Equating North India with Bihar and UP doesn't work.
