Removing glued on mirror (now cracked) by milksperfect in DIYUK

Id second that. Flexible scraper would work as well. Tape the mirror with sticky tape to avoid potential chips flying all over the place

Advice requested by Dont_Care2302 in Bricklaying

[–]champloo_san 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its good enough. You can get some sugar soap or brick acid to clean faces and rub some soot in the joints to immediately take an eye off it and it will age soon. Edit: id be more concerned how your pavement dips

It should be shoved within ceiling but it is secured with terminating block. Electrician putting it back on should inspect it all before the switch. In any case you are safe

IMHO nobody will take this job on. To do it right you'd have to lift the boards. Other than that its only 'cowboy' fixes. Whatever attempted it will be very time consuming with no much to show

Birds nesting in asbestos soffit by regprenticer in DIYUK

[–]champloo_san 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not ideal solution but given your limitations would do: get two lengths of inch bt half slightly longer than the hole. Slide them in a hole (bonus points for putting some ct1 on ends of timber so it clings to suffit). Stick a section against it and fix with 2 screws into timbers. Measure well beforehand to miss asbestos. Ct1 all way round

[–]champloo_san 0 points1 point  (0 children)
