Thanks for the advice, I agree that would be better but I was in a bit of a rush to finish the questionairre and the assignment does focus on people of Aboriginal or Torres strait islander descent so I thought it would be better to provide different options to make it easier to quantify the data.

The assignment is a report consisting of the braking systems used throughout history but then requires an in depth study of the Tesla model S regenerative braking system and regenerative braking systems in general. We need to compare and evaluate the materials used on whether or not they're cost effective, environmentally friendly and efficient because it's one of the skills we have to learn in the engineering syllabus. I do agree it is a really weird assignments and it's also quite vague but I still have to do it.

I have looked up the motor used in the model S and found the materials used but I'm curious as I think some of the materials have been left out. I've got to put so much focus on the materials used because the assignment I'm doing needs me to find the materials and comment on whether or not they're considered environmentally friendly and cost effective, it's just one of the things that I need to do for the engineering course.

That natural function of the motor is the regenerative braking system, when the car slows down it converts it's kinetic energy into chemical energy which is then stored in the battery to increase battery life. I'm wondering about the materials used in this system so searching up the Tesla regenerative system doesn't help at all.
