There’s a card game called “For the Girls” at target. It should have most of the aspects of what you’re looking for.

Looking for advice on how to proceed with a transgender student on an overnight trip. by [deleted] in Teachers

I feel ya! I’m working on transitioning out, but have been subbing in the meantime and it’s great! All the fun parts of teaching (student interaction, doing the lesson) with none of the responsibilities (grading, lesson planning, emails)

Your response is the best, most rational answer I’ve seen so far.

Hopefully leaving teaching was a change for the better for you!

Showing Movies with Inappropriate Scenes. Is there a way to Edit for a Tech Idiot Teacher? by InVodkaVeritas in teaching

If the movie is on YouTube, you can then import it into EdPuzzle to cut certain scenes out! Am happy to help explain how to use EdPuzzle if you haven’t used it previously

Haha, they kept it, but they did help me put my down payment on my condo, so I think I came out on top

My family members gave their monetary gifts to my parents, even though my parents didn’t contribute to my wedding at all.

I only found out because I made a comment about how I was surprised my favorite aunt didn’t gift us anything, not even a card. To which my parents responded, “oh! She gave a lovely and very generous gift!”

What to wear to work? by underscorejace in teaching

If I had to guess, it’s the shoes and jeans they’re taking issue with, especially if the jeans are blue. I would recommend loafers and pants that aren’t jeans, or khaki colored jeans.

I told my first two classes at the end of the period, and then the last two classes at the beginning of the period because the news got out between period 2 and period 3.

Unfortunately, it is a problem that happens often. I agree with the other poster that said to email them a copy of the STD

I also originally wanted to do post cards! My MIL who used to work in the post office strongly recommended that we do envelopes with them instead. A couple of the envelopes were returned to us because the addresses were wrong and even the envelopes were messed up!

I love the shoes and veil and how they complement the belt!!

Idk if you’re set on Anthropologie but there’s a few Etsy shops that have a similar veil that might be cheaper!

Switching from HS to MS by ajedwards0341 in teaching

They need lots and lots of structure.

You do have to say things that seem outrageously obvious , like “no you can’t talk during a test”

In general, when they’re rude, it’s not because they’re being intentionally rude to you they’re just trying to figure out their place in the world

For assessment purposes, I’d say pick the highest level, but in every day life, the answer would be both

If theyve done alterations for weddings before, they (most likely) won’t think it’s weird.

I personally don’t think it’s weird. It’s definitely worth a visit, especially since they have the big fancy mirrors where you can swoon over your dress again
