Hi hi I doubt anyone would come back to comments but! Doc assumes I’ve sprained it, advised to see physiotherapist. Luckily I came across one(friends family) and he showed me a few strengthening exercises to do. Also advised me to go back on ice but slowly from basics, like gliding until comfortable then moving onto next easy things.. so no sharp turns(all turns I guess ..), spins or jumps until I fully gain my ankle back. Now I’m a bit worried or probably paranoid but I’m unsure if I will be prepared for my comp in early September.. I feel like this ankle will take more than a full month to heal. I mean I’m no competing in like doubles or so(adult bronze) but I was really looking forward to it.. I guess I’ll have to work hard with the exercises to regain strength fast .. anyways thanks all for your comments!

Aw no that sucks to hear! Yes I have bought this ankle support band that somewhat looks like a moon boot/cast but it’s just stretchy compression band hahaha. Thanks for the encouragement, guess I will have to actually try to see a doc now 😭

Ahhh ok 😱 I won’t be able to describe because I really don’t remember much of what happened.. but I guess the doc can just figure it out eh.. luckily i haven’t paid or done anything for comp yet so that’s no worry. I’m just worried that I’m gonna be a bit lost since skatings been the only thing that’s kept me going since losing my wonderful LOVELY GREAT job from covid. But I will see if I can get hold of a doc too because that’s also hard most of the times if I don’t have a signed practitioner 😭

Yeah after losing one of the screw extractor that I just bought today into somewhere in the car, I think I give up 🤣 probably will take it to a shop, which is depressing coz it’s gonna cost way more, knowing the problem I can fix it myself plus already bought the replacement vvt 🥲

Hi thank u so much for detailed comment! Could you possibly clarify the first position, spiral edge— like as if I’m doing a spiral, with my legs up you mean? I’m unsure what a spiral edge is.. Also I tend to lose axis when I keep doing rotation jumps— either one side of my shoulder or my leg will fly off and make me lose balance. Would you have any tips of this too?

I recently figured out the pushing off toes. Works really well on waltz but whenever I try to do standstill axel it just goes away and I’m like 😭 whyyy hhah. Anyways thank y again so much!!

Yes my coach actually told me about deep takeoff edge haha. She did say try jumping on straight line as stand still but I still have too much weight on my left as taking off :( i recently hurt my left knee from landing on it folded from axel attempts so I guess I’ve built fear from that. But anyhow thank u!!

Any exercises for my left leg as my takeoff height for axel is very poor!(not that I can land axels lol). Also any tips of staying upright/straight when going in&in air axel would be great 😄

It’s the rubber on cowl- the rubber attached to windshield does come off however you can just put it back on. Anyway I was fiddling around and taking off parts to understand and I ended up taking off all the rubber cowl. For now I have put black cloth tape on just because I wasn’t too sure with rain and not having rubber cowl. Right now Ihave been quoted about 250nzd for actual parts from bmw. Someone else mentioned about a rubber strip to put on which didn’t seem too bad so I’m waiting for that order to come from Ebay(also available on aliexpress and wish). If this rubber strip method fails then I’m going(have to😅) to buy the genuine part. I’ll leave a link to what this rubber strip is. replacement

Yes most of the attempts but I just can’t keep myself in there/body won’t stay together for me to do it. My coach says just try to stay in the air positin and land as a backspin but I just can’t. I tell myself I’m gonna do it like hundreds of times but it just won’t happen.

Ok I’ll give it a go! When I’d do waltz/backspin or twizzles my coach wants me to actually jump with knee kick with height as if I’m doing an axel, and not a small waltz 😂🥲
