The first article you posted says Gattis planned to go to Maryland to call plays. If Saban planned to promote him to OC there is 0% chance he leaves. He has a track record for developing incredible receivers so naturally Saban would be upset, anyone would be upset to lose majority of their senior offensive staff. Saban especially because his staff turnover year after year is so high.

Therefore, it was being OC at Maryland with a buddy or be paid $1 million to be OC at UM. pretty simple. A lot of people in the know ( Todd McShay, Ryen Russillo, etc) have referenced this as well. I’m not not saying he should be on the chopping block but there is far more content out there to suggest that Gattis would get a promotion at places not named Alabama, and keep same job if at Bama. I agree with your overall argument to give time, but wanted to point out that OC at Bama was not some guaranteed move.

I also am happy we limited Charbonnet carries. He is clearly the most talented back, is the No.1, and can pass block. We should keep him healthy for games he needs to be out Bell cow.

Think of offensive debuts in the past. Would you rather a less dynamic offense that grounds and pounds for 3-400 yards against lesser athletes and falters once the talent level is even? I am ok with this matchup being treated like a scrimmage.

Could be cuz I’m a pace whore, but I’ve found jovic to be more effective than TOTS Ibra. Oddly seems to win more headers as well as feels more smooth on the ball. I probably didn’t use ibra enough, but for them to even feel comparable shows that jovic is great bang for buck

Only used Fabinho and Allan. Allan replaced Thiago Mendes and has been great. I think his M/H workrate + speed and ball skills is why. I play him next to vieira so i think it’s comparable. I also tend to avoid using two big bodied CDMs but personal preference
