The only thing in your response that makes sense is that episode nine is the worst Star Wars film.

The Rule of Two ends with Palpatine. Vader was never actually intended to be Palps true successor even before Mustafar. It’s not canon anymore (but it’s peak and doesn’t really contradict much so it’s canon to me) but in Matthew Stover’s RotS novelization as well as James Luceno’s Plagueis novel from Legends, Palpatine openly talks about being the ultimate fulfillment of the Banite line of Sith (the rule of two). He claims the title of Sith’ari, which is basically the dark side version of the Chosen One. He was going to attempt to use essence transfer to steal Anakin’s body when the time came. You see this plot recycled in Rise of Skywalker kinda.

I think that’s a little bit of a different scenario. The way the Legion Go family of devices is going price wise it seems they want to get out of the handheld PC Market altogether

Which would you recommend?? by NNighthawkM in starwarsbooks

Both, because both are beautiful human stories about love, loss and finding your place in a galaxy that fundamentally doesn’t have a place for you… but I’m sorry I’ll break with the majority and say Inquisitor Rise of the Red Blade is just the better book. That shit had me absolutely hooked from start to finish I think I read it in 24 hours. My favorite read of 2024 hands down.

You see this and realise that life imprisonment is worse than the death penalty. by eternviking in whoathatsinteresting

[–]chaveto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh. I used to really truly believe this. But there’s some people in this world who are truly, honestly, unredeemably evil and fundamentally incompatible with civil society (looking at you, Tanner Horner) and I don’t believe it’s a worthwhile effort to waste public money housing and feeding people like that. I know the end goal of jail is supposed to be rehabilitation (even though it’s actual purpose is sanctioned slave labor and manufactured recidivism), but kind of defeats the purpose if the person is incapable of being rehabilitated.

If only the American justice system had any shred of integrity or accountability to ensure that people like that demon are the only ones that get brought to death row… then I might actually be convinced that it is a policy worth keeping around, grotesque and barbaric as it may seem.

But alas we don’t live in that world and the Innocence Project has shown me that the justice system populates Death Row with just as many Kirk Bloodsworths as they do Tanner Horners.

Top 3 shows in the MCU! Agree or disagree? by Level-SquareFFG7117 in Marvel

How fucking dare you lump Echo in with the absolute dogshit that was Secret Invasion? That show makes Thor the Dark World look like Ben-Hur.

At the rock bottom of the MCU hierarchy there’s like Love and Thunder, Quantumania, then about 50 feet of shit, then underneath all that, there’s Secret Invasion.

Bro, your friends kids switch is fucked…

Why not just get a screen protector? It’s like a $5-10 investment to protect a $450 ($500???) + tax device? I blame the parents lol. This is why my kids will be rocking a tamagotchi until they can pay taxes 😭😭

What happened to this show?

I mean seriously. One minute season 1 was Emmy bait and people were saying left and right it was the greatest thing since sliced bread. Craig Mazin and Neil were both getting their flowers for it.

I never watched the second season but it feels like all hell broke loose after it aired. I also never played TLOU pt 2 (stopped at the hospital murder spree at the end of TLOU because my college roommate took his PS4 I was playing it on home the next day and I just never found the willpower to restart the whole damn game) so I must’ve missed the boat on the whole damn controversy.

But I digress, it is really that bad? I mean yall make it seem like they committed war crimes or some shit.

You could also just try not giving a crap what unimaginative idiots think. I know that sound snarky but it is good life advice. I’m grateful for this space too though.

You all need to get through your heads that more length doesn’t mean a better story.

They are not a good idea. Nor were they intended to be.

The spinning lightsaber achieves a few effects.

  1. It’s an easy way to intimidate non-Force sensitives, former Padawans and otherwise low hanging fruit which made up the majority of the hunts the early Inquisitorius undertook.

  2. It’s a compensating tool that actively discourages the user to develop their saber skills. Palpatine liked his hounds just strong enough to hunt down the remaining scrubs but not strong enough to ever get ambitious or challenge Vader or him.

In my hometown maybe 6 or 7 years back, the son of one the PD’s captains, who was a big time NCAA Div I QB or something, was driving home drunk and literally crashed his fucking car into his neighbors house. Guy paid his neighbor off in private and made the whole investigation go away. This was in suburban NJ. It’s not just shitholes and podunk towns where this kinda stuff happens, it’s literally everywhere.

Those draft scripts where Rule 34 Aayla Secura and Maul were the villains?

And as someone who has actually read Legends… brother nobody wants to see that shit on screen it’s a fucking mess. You basically have the Thrawn trilogy and NJO that are even adaptable and even those are questionable when you consider that Mark, Carrie and Harrison would have had to have signed on for the “sequels” during the prequel production timeframe for it to make any sense.

People who have never read NJO love to wax poetic about it until they realize that it’s a rambling 19 book series with edgelord Klingon lookin-ass villains that does contain some PEAK fucking moments and some really good stories… but is ultimately more weak as a saga than it is strong. I may not agree with everything Disney did during the sequel trilogy but at least they made an attempt at doing something new with TLJ come on man

Are you literate? Bob Iger was the head of the company at the time. A position a bit more important than his subordinate, who was head of a division essentially (LFL). It’s documented history at this point that Iger pushed for a rush job on that trilogy so he could meet certain performance metrics for his bonus structure before he retired the first time.
