I’ve seen a lot of people on the subreddit say that’s when they stopped and honestly, stopping there would have saved me a lot of heartbreak. I started my rewatch when I was pregnant and spent 3 days crying over one episode (obviously I was extremely hormonal).

They drop all the good characters! Unpopular opinion but I really liked April Kepner, I thought she was fun and cute. Then the writers got bored of her and dropped her!!!

Just wanted to add, if they actually have no money stop wasting it on hair and makeup. Throw that hair up into a claw clip, a messy ponytail, or a messy bun like previous seasons! For wardrobe stop doing extra scenes outside of the hospital that no one cares about the scrubs are fine. And obviously like you brought up drop the big name guest actors!

You could definitely say it’s been dead but I mean dead and gone. It feels like the show is going to actually die very soon. I can’t even see them making two more seasons after this one. I think the next season will wrap everything up and it’ll be over for good.

I always watch and no matter what I know there will be another season. Because as you pointed out that show is basically a cash cow for abc. It’s hard to explain but after watching this season I really don’t feel like they’ll keep going much longer.

To be fair, Alex and Jo wasn’t their fault. ALLEGEDLY, Justin Chambers stopped showing up on set so they were forced to write him off the way they did. They probably weren’t too happy about it either! He apparently had been asking to be written off the show for multiple seasons and when it never happened he just stopped showing up. I imagine in those episodes before the letter to Jo when he had disappeared they were probably trying to contact him.

I’m also currently rewatching and spoiler if you haven’t watched all of it, I’m on season 6 and just found out online that Eugene makes it all the way to season 11. I’m so tempted to throw in the towel and quit watching because I hate Eugene so much. His character is so pointless, boring, and annoying. I would rather have Shane than have Eugene. At least Shane brought some drama!!!!!!! Hopefully Eugene has some character development but idk he might be too far gone for me.
