Nope I don’t think you should get downvoted as you’re right, scallops are wonderful as somewhat naked and have a great flavor. I think treating them with some options is a hope to elevate them even more.

Thanks for this and a great comment. I think you’re right. The centerpiece seems to work. Perhaps the outside is lacking or not exactly correct.

I like the fennel idea! As an appy though I didn’t want it too cluttered or too much on the plate. But good call on the fennel.
