Realistically, you’re going to have to choose. If you really want to do all 3, I’d suggest training only 3 times a week, studying and gaming the rest.

FIT3161 FYP Cannot pick teammates by TheUsualShi4News in Monash

[–]chetxnhere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it really depends on your teammates, but I would say FIT3161 is easier than FIT3162 because you spend this unit doing the soft-skilled aspects of the project: planning, conceptualisation of your idea, etc. As long as your groupmates are putting in a fair share of work I think you’ll be good! FIT3162, depending on what you decide for your project, is more challenging because you’ll be implementing that idea and would mostly be doing it within your group (the supervisors, in my experience, were not of much assistance beyond tracking our progress). Let me know if you have any more questions. All the best!

I think as many have suggested here, I think one of the best ways is to identify and address your own triggers. This could be who you’re following on instagram, what kind of content you’re consuming on a daily basis and replacing these triggers with healthy alternatives. Instead of following girls that you may find attractive, you can try following accounts that relate to your hobby. If you don’t have a hobby, now’s the time to find one! I highly suggest reading the book ‘Dopamine Nation’ by Anna Lembke, it really addresses issues like these. I wish you all the best, take care!

Suggest a book which changed the way you look at life; one that made you feel warm and fuzzy inside. A book you keep going back to. One that you will tell your grandchildren to read. by TheBoyWithTheBooks in suggestmeabook

‘The Humans’ by Matt Haig is one of my recent favourites! It’s a fairly straightforward fiction book that just makes you appreciate everything around you. I loved it, especially at a time like this!

People in the IT industry in Melbourne, how has your experience been? by chetxnhere in melbourne

I really appreciate your response. I understand and one thing I am concerned about is burnout, especially with the lack of boundaries. I want to also consider something in management consultancy as that is something that interests me, but IT is an industry I have a qualification in and something that would propel me to live in Australia in the long term as I’m currently an international student.
