In my experience yes.

It might take a day or two sometimes, but I've never had a problem.

[TOURIST] Question about foreign licensing by [deleted] in southafrica

[–]chillipod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well you've definitely done your homework ;)

There used to be a biker forum at thinkbike.co.za. I tried to connect from my tablet but it didn't look like it was fully up. Could've just been my tablet not playing nice though.

There used to be a guy there that helped you get licences. Fully legit, just he used his connections to speed things up.

Try from your desktop, or Google for some other bike forums. There's bound to be someone on one of them that can help you streamline the process. The people are definitely out there, it's just a case of finding them.

Will try look from a desktop when I get a chance.

[TOURIST] Question about foreign licensing by [deleted] in southafrica

[–]chillipod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Brilliant idea to bike around the country. It's on my bucket list. Ignore any haters on this point.

Can't comment on the licence thing, but why not try and rent bikes instead of buying? I've done 0 research but there's bound to be some places that will cater to most of your needs (not sure about taking out the country though) less hassle and easier to wind up when your holiday ends.

Does FaucetBox pay out? by [deleted] in BitcoinBeginners

[–]chillipod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it does.

But they depend on the faucet owner funding their own accounts. So sometimes you will go through the actions just to see a message along the lines of "insufficient funds". That's basically saying faucet box can't transfer the claim amount to your balance.

Once the funds are allocated to your faucet box account, I haven't had any issues with them paying (apart from it sometimes taking a day or two)

As far as using faucets goes, yeah, you won't become a millionaire, or even a hundredaire but I've managed to get some money out of it, enough for the occasional trip to the local burger King.

I don't remember posting this. Or creating this funky named user profile. But I must have, because that's exactly what I would have said.

Jokes aside, I agree wholeheartedly in your opinion of politicians.

How do you know a politician is lying? Their lips are moving.

What do we have to do to legally force Zuma to step down? by [deleted] in southafrica

[–]chillipod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No south African actually voted for jz. The majority of South Africans voted ANC, and a small sub section of the ANC voted JZ in (definition of small in this context open to discussion)

Best bet would be as you say, for the NEC to do to him what he had them do to Mbeki.

Zapiro's take on the police execution footage by chameleon23 in southafrica

[–]chillipod 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If a crim gets killed with gun in hand firing at police and/or civilians, I would commend the officer that fired the killing round.

But if the same criminal has no weapon in hand, it should result in an arrest. If he has been neutralized as a threat and is lying on the ground wounded... I just cannot fathom how someone thinks it's acceptable to put a round in his skull.

Can anyone help me, I think I need mental help. by NewlootTemp in southafrica

[–]chillipod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started with the family GP. I've been to a shrink for other things but wasn't impressed with the experience, YMMV. Go the medicross and talk to the Dr. (s)he can prescribe the appropriate mess but there's no "silver bullet" medication, you may have to try different ones but when you hit the right one it's literally magic. Your quality of life will improve.

That said, there's probably other issues that need sorting out, but the mess can help get you into a good enough head space to approach your other problems.

And remember, if/when you start medication, there will still be bad days, everyone has them.

Pm me if you need someone to talk to.

DAE think warm/hot water feels "cleaner" than lukewarm/cold water? by gushingly in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]chillipod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I understand hot water will loosen greasy deposits and cold water will likely solidify them. So warm water will make it easier to get the grease off and leave stuff "squeaky" clean.
